That would be great, can you can tell me how we can guarantee that to you? What would you need? It feels a bit like you are asking I hire an employee and ask he to be sure he will stay with us for minimum of 3 years with you π. Or maybe like a agency that you hire and you ask them will you be there over 10 years? The owner will die and the agency is gone. But we are not a government which can ask for eurobonds or like wise. We have a big intention to go for the long term as shown in the past half year. And it is open source so you can support it always in case something goes wrong with the company. You can send me a message and we can discuss further π

Hi All! It has been a while since you received a newsletter form thirty bees! Well it was certainly time to send one out. I love looking forward to the future of TB but just a few words about the struggles we have encounter. Taking over TB is not an easy as expected task but all is on track to move forward as expected. Beside that I have to run my own stable ecommerce company which can be challenging with covid changes all things we took a year ago a granted. As a merchant I decided that for me it was worth taking over TB as I love the system and wanted to hire a full time programmer anyway. So we can extend the system for all of us and keep it cutting edge. This does cost a lot of money and at this moment is losing money. For all the people buying support and who back us this is great and keeps the system open, thank you π! Not a backer yet? Consider it, it would be great to get you on board so that we can work on more community requests. You can do this easily by going to the forum and choose support thirty bees! We recently launched the latest version 1.2.0. which has a lot of bug fixes and core improvements. Nothing fancy in the frontend or Backoffice though π We like to keep it the most stable shop system out there and release stable regular updates. We will release more updates soon but expect after the catch up other updates can take a few months. We do expect version 1.3.0. very soon. It has quite some nice enhancements and improvements, like an new modern way of customer password recovery. scheduled tasks - sort of like build-in cron job work queue - mechanism to execute work jobs asynchronously in order to speed up request processing theme extensions - ability to extend themes, which allows us to introduce new front office features like new password reset work on php8 compatibility module installation overhall (1.6 still supported) product page tabs permissions What will the future bring? It expect TB to be a system that can work on a small scale but also on a bigger scale. For example with a advanced warehouse system which integrates smoothly but works as a separate system. Same for a product information system, and the fields needed for TB and all the different marketplaces. Also the frontend needs some updates as well as elastic search. We are also willing to discuss any enhancements big or small and if it is a good fit add it to the core or module. This can sometimes be free of cost or for a very affordable rate. Reach out to us and we can set up a meeting. Donβt forget to join as a backer! Stay tuned happy selling, all the best!

Can you share some pictures, its a bit of a broad question. Did you also consider updating?

I am also interested in Amazon, for me orders and quantities would be enough. What about you @30knees?

Release date of the new version (1.3) and road map
Smile replied to luksl's topic in Announcements about thirty bees
Do we need to bee something else than a cute geek project? Do we need to be a shopify/lightspeed with π€ investors? Do we need to be a Prestashop with less and less functions and more and more π€ modules and empty newsletters? Or should we just do that one thing good, stable and adding new modern functions that I and other merchants really miss. Wait and see where we will go, we are just started putting energy in the project for a few months. -
We are also currently working on a module that keeps the end price the same and the store owner takes depending on the country a bit more margin or a bit less.

Release date of the new version (1.3) and road map
Smile replied to luksl's topic in Announcements about thirty bees
Good to see people are caring a lot for this project. I have to divide my time between my normal store and TB. This can be a challenge and even more with all the changes in the world (raising prices preventive home stay and more π ). They don't make it more simple. But we will get there and soon a short newsletter will be send out. And as more people mention in this topic, what do you expect. Within this topic there is only one paying support costumer and one backer. And I don't have to tell you what a developer in the EU will cost π So please join as backer it support us in the feeling we do good and we can have a biscuit with the thee! Currently I pay this project for more than 95% with my own money, and we would love to change this in the opposite π I don't need a profit, but break even would be nice some day! -
Bug in EU Advanced Compliance with shipping taxes?
Smile replied to 30knees's topic in EU Compliance
I have noticed this bug myself long time ago and have always payed to much taxes on shipping to the government. Will try to push this bug to be fixed a.s.a.p. -
This seemed to be also an issue that can occur due to the use of a low PHP version. For example update PHP 7.2 to 7.4.

Thirty Bees Future Announcement

@Mark Thanks for your feedback, there were two choices, make a fork for my own ecommerce company like @wakabayashi or try to do something for the community. I did choose the later and hope we will succeed together. -

We need such a thing here as well. It's a bit like kickstarter and comparable tools. I am still searching for such a thing but maybe kickstarter is the best for now. But feels as overkill. -
Thirty Bees Future Announcement

Thanks for all the nice wishes. Thirty bees is a strategic investment for me. We love the system and like to keep it out there. I will manage it beside my ecommerce store. This makes it challenging and exciting time wise. So my main objective is to keep it up to date (PHP versions, security ect.) and add nice features to it on the road. I hope we get more and more people becoming backers so we can hire a extra person to get more money in and run the company budget neutral. That would be a great achievement. -
Thirty Bees Future Announcement
Smile replied to Messenger Bee's topic in Announcements about thirty bees
Hi all! I am Chiel and as a ecommerce merchant I love Thirty Bees. First of all, thanks for staying and waiting for a sign of life. As many of you, I moved over from Prestashop to Thirty Bees. When I noticed that Thirty Bees was not moving forward as quickly as expected I felt I had to do something. So I decided to see if I could help. I got in touch with Lesley, the current owner and long discussions followed. Finally, we made an agreement that both of us are happy with. I will take over Thirty Bees and Datakick, an expert Thirty Bees Core developer will join the new company. In the upcoming two months we will take the time to get used to our new roles and will work to get a new version out as soon as possible. In the upcoming year we will still depend heavily on the community, support and money wise. I paid a fair price for Thirty Bees, but to run the company effectively a lot of money is needed and at this point there is almost no income yet. For now, we can only employ Datakick, and he is paid for by my own savings. And as all of you know, a software can be opensource, but the resources and infrastructure required to run it is mostly charged in hard cash. Therefore, I like to ask all of you to join us as a supporter. So we can pay for hosting, and our dedicated programmer Datakick, and improve quality and pay for new features etc. Also, if you can help us in any way, please get in touch, and maybe assist with some SEO, SEA, few hours programming, writing newsletters or whatever you feel you can help with. I believe we can keep Thirty Bees open source. But we need you and the whole community to help us in the upcoming year. Please note that most changes will become noticeable from the end of February onwards. We will also provide more info and road maps etc in the new year. I'd like to thank @lesley for his investments in the past. And a big special thanks to @Theo and @datakick who both have made this new step for Thirty Bees possible! Also, I'd like to thank each of you who have stuck it out with Thirty Bees during the time of uncertainty and the lengthy negotiations. Thank you! Without you Thirty Bees would not be possible. Let's work together to make it great again and move it forward to a bright and successful future! Stay tuned, have a great and safe new year and donβt forget to pledge now! -

Thirty Bees Future Announcement
Smile replied to Messenger Bee's topic in Announcements about thirty bees
Well looking at the current field a serious merchant who preferers freedom would probably still choose for PS/TB, magento or Woocommerce. And i think when TB has good support and positive environment we can slow but steady grow. I guess its like a marathon and a new start for TB. -
Bad SQL query Table 'user_bdus6.ps_image' doesn't exist

Taking over a business can take some time. Be positive I guess π Also I expect the new team will not start working before the formalities are done. Would you start painting a house before buying it? -
Hi, I copied the whole DB to a new server. All seems to go well, except from one thing. The products are not shown in FO and BO. In The bo on the product page I get the message: Bad SQL query Table 'useran_DBName6.ps_image' doesn't exist Does someone has a idea? I have overwritten the DB with the same backup, same issue.
-
I might have seen it before in PS, but normally I just delete the product and add it again. Then it is mostly sloved.
-
Its very irritating as when it happens in FO the order comes not through in BO when the customer comes back from payment provider. So the order is not seen in the orderlist and still payed. In cases it is not 0.00.
-
I don't think you have to worry for now. Such things just take time apparently.

I guess they buy it for business continuity and security. Probably no need to worry, we all know how Prestashop is going down now. Only thing is buying companies probalt takes months. So we have to be patient. -
Yes it should become 0.00
