TB stats vs Google Analytics

Hi all,

I was wondering if I disabled all stats module and use Google Anaytics 1. Would it make the site faster 2. How reliable would that be?

Stats module and google analytics have different purpose. I think stats module doesn't take effect on front end performance (IMO)

I don't think it affects speed noticeable , you can test it by enable and disabling it.

But isn't said before that you should turn off stats modules for speed in Prestashop? Are these modules really that big difference?

I believe they flood your database and it will become large at some point, which will slow down the database queries.

Hello, Stats module will increase the database in tbguest und tbconnections and it is possible that these will have a hundreds of thousands after a while.

Should make no problem or slow down the site, but this depends strongly on your hosting plan and hardware. Site without Stats modula can increase speed for 1-2 seconds.

But i dont know if Google Stats does also - we dont use this.
