Beeta Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 Take a look at prozis.com and take the time to create an account to "play" with it. I think that it's a great example of today's e-commerce (the mobile version too).
wakabayashi Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 I just look a bit at it. It's indeed a very good example of ecommerce. Love it! But it's not a tb store, is it?
Beeta Posted August 25, 2018 Author Posted August 25, 2018 @wakabayashi I don't think it's a tb/ps store.
hfxracing Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 it acts like a opencart store I could be wrong
Beeta Posted August 29, 2018 Author Posted August 29, 2018 ok but putting aside the custom/script thing... I think that it's a great e-commerce website with good ideas and easy to use/navigate/buy.
Guest Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Looks like a great modern website. They are a really big company though. (600k+ facebook likes) Obviously they have a ton of resources to invest into their website.
doclucas Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Not saying they do that, but facebook likes can be bought quite easily and many companies do. What specific features you all like in their website?
Guest Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 @doclucas Although I'm aware of blackhat tactics, I'm not really sure about this company in particular. Anyways, about their website: I think the color coding on individual categories looks really snazzy and a lot of people would buy into such aesthetics. They also have beautiful product pages, with discount CTA above fold in a nice looking thin strip. https://www.prozis.com/ww/en/prozis/prozis-corehr-smartband-with-heart-rate-monitor ^ Additionally, they have beautiful infographics on their private label product descriptions. Also note how the buy box follows the infographic down the page, so it's always visible. Their point system is visible as well, which obviously adds perceived value. If they have multiple variations, that follows too. In my opinion, this is a very optimized website. Also, I thought their slider towards the bottom of the homepage that slides downwards in layers was pretty cool. I don't think I would personally use something like that on my money sites but I think it looks good on their site.
doclucas Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Thanks for the details. :) These are all theme/template related ie. design elements, not really features. One feature I did notice and like there is the countdown for today's shipping (similar to amazon's idea, but different design).
Guest Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 @doclucas Yes, most of what I like about their website is design related. Although, their search is pretty cool too. Try typing something in their search box. It shows up and adapts to new search terms near instantly, without having to press enter and wait for it to load.
doclucas Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Yeah, TB has elasticsearch module that (I think) does the same thing. Have you tried it? https://store.thirtybees.com/shop-modules/front-office/elastic-search-module
doclucas Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 You can check out TB elasticsearch in action here: https://rackmetro.com/
doclucas Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 I am pretty sure making a template built on TB that does pretty much everything that this site does is doable, as long as we are just talking about js/css design elements. And as I pointed out about elasticsearch, some if not all of the features are already available in TB core, modules or possibly with prestashop 1.6 modules.
wakabayashi Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Right now I see many things on this site, which can't be done with tb easily. Even something simple like the about page: https://www.prozis.com/ww/en/about-us Very hard to make it like that in tb. That's why I always say, that this plattform needs to go on. :)
doclucas Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 @wakabayashi Would really love if you can write a full list of such things from this website so that we know what and where we can improve the core...
wakabayashi Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 @douclas I am confused. Are you a developper? Or you mean just like a brainstorming? Other example: https://www.prozis.com/ww/en/prozis/prozis-corehr-smartband-with-heart-rate-monitor (check the product description)
doclucas Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Are you sure such an about us page can't be done in TB? Looks like a simple html information page that can be done with a WYSIWYG editor with added js and css. Yes, I am also a developer, but currently brainstorming :)
wakabayashi Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Where is the WYSIWYG editor? You need a serious & modern template builder for that otherwise merchants will fail anway...
doclucas Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 It's just a static information page that can be done with a CMS module.
wakabayashi Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 You can also code a module ofc. But from my opinion, tb anyway needs a landing page builder... Once you do this as a module, you will see in the feedback how flexible that thing has to be... Some want a slider, some a list. Some want the icons on the left, some want it on the right and so on and on. ;)
doclucas Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 That's what modules are for. ;) And there are plenty of such advanced CMS modules for PS 1.6 already. Here is one example: https://addons.prestashop.com/en/page-customization/19835-advanced-cms-contenmaker-for-landing-pages.html Which brings me to my original point - these things can be done on TB. :)
wakabayashi Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Thats the module I bought some years ago. It's horrible. :)
wakabayashi Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 I know, but not a good one :) It also not what I would call a modern landing page builder. I mean something like that: https://grapesjs.com/demo.html
