Niara theme - cannot remove items from cart

hello,

Testing a bit Niara theme and found out that cannot remove an item from cart - in the drop down. Anybody else has same issue?

Yes, you are right. I don't see the remove button in the cart popup.

I can't tell if its meant to be like that in this theme or just forgotten.

Maybe @lesley can answer.

No, the one that shows when you hover the icon.

Hmm you are correct, let me see what took this out.

I was hoping that just the line was removed, but it looks like more logic is removed because the ajax is not working either, I opened up an issue here, https://github.com/thirtybees/niara/issues/16

That's actually by design and was removed intentionally:

Merchants usually want visitors to buy something, so having a delete button looking almost like a close-dialog button isn't too helpful.

I did not realize it was a feature change, I closed the github issue.

We came up with it today, and thought it strange. I thought it was a bug.. anyway, so, it was by design.. one of our client wanted having that functionality to delete via the dropdown. I guess we will just have to code it back..
