Frontcontroller::init - Cart cannot be loaded or an order has already been placed using this cart

Hello there, I migrated yesterday because of this problem and it still happening.

I read a lot of people with a lot of different versions of PS with the same error, but nothing really makes the solution for me.

The problem:

  • In the logs it shows this to me: Frontcontroller::init - Cart cannot be loaded or an order has already been placed using this cart

  • In the front office give me a 404 and didn't finish the order (errors for the customers)

  • And in the back office don't change automatically the status of the orders.

I've now TB 1.0.1 from PS 1.6.1.17.

I think the problem could come from two possibilities:

  • This problem could start since I updated to PS 1.6.1.16 but I'm not really sure of this. And now with TB 1.0.1 I don't think it could happend.

  • The other possibility is and strange order that mixed phisical products with virtual products. All the orders before this one are with this problem, after this, none of them.

I tried too with modules:

  • Prestashop Cleaner to de DDBB. Doesn't work.

  • Delete Orders Free with this order that I said before. Doesn't work.

I have some complains from some customers and others are waiting, I hope that someone could help me with this, I'm running out of ideas.

So when did this Frontcontroller::init happen the first Time (in PS 1.6.1.17 ? or after Migration to TB)?

"And in the back office don’t change automatically the status of the orders." What do you mean by "automatically" ?

Did you try an other Installation (with an other subdomain)? Are the Errors still happening then?

@jamesblond008 It happend with PS 1.6.1.16 but I'm not sure if this was the problem.

@lesley i've the last stable I think. Do you mean 1.0.3?

I'll try but I think that I've issues with the updater module aswell.

To ensure that the error was not caused by your browser, clear your cache and delete your cookies or try another browser. If you have emptied your cache without the website building without the error, you should wait and try again after a few minutes. If the error persists after several hours, you can contact the server admin. In most cases under the error is an e-mail address under which you can reach the admin.

More info for the updater problem:

I tried with "Disable non TB modules" and the error shows up again.

I realize that I had installed PS updater, but I delete it and still the same problem.

I have this error also in my advanced parameters>logs every time an order was placed but the payment/order processed okay. TB version 1.0.3

Glad it's not a big deal, as long as it isn't a denied order :) Just happened to notice it then searched forum. Payment module is stripe just updated it yesterday if it makes a difference.

Yes it denied order to me.

I just change back to PS 1.6.1.17 to solve this from beginning.

I just found this in apaches logs on each order:
