  1. Please dont spend time on it, it is counter productive
  2. @dprophitjr I have no eager to use it and would never give away anything unnecessary to Google. Thats why I use Piwik instead of GA
  3. But Markus, why cant you admit that there is modules out there, for many different open source e-commerce patforma that already do this, and with success. Why should it be harder for tb?
  4. I really hope that the team concentrate on the merchants needs, nothing else
  5. Perhaps if you install the migrator in tb ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
  6. It is really funny to read all this. AMP or GA. None of them are made for the merchants. The only perpose is to collect as much info as possible to Google. And if you dont do as they want they punish you. It is horrible when one company has come that far
  7. What happens when you install the PS connector? Searches go via ES. If you uninstall it? Search is back to PS. What is the problem with that?
  8. Advice read the addon info.
  9. There is one already. The PS ElasticSearch comnnector kan use three nodes. locan is default then you can set 2 others. But the first one can also be changed
  10. I will just react on the first point. It must be up to the shopowner to freely choose what kind of service it will be. A local one run on the same server as the shop, a service run on a second server or as connected to some of the hosted ones. And perhaps the merchant sell worlwide. Then the nodes also should be closest to the customer It defently not for the tb developers to decide
  11. Not all will be able to use it as a local service. I doubt that those on shared hosting are allowed to install it or det it installed. But then there is a possibility to use a hosted alternative. And never forget all the merchants that dont want or can manage the tech stupp. They are probably not on this forum, but they need to be tb users, otherwise tb will be a very very tiny player
  12. My ES say it take 2.1 just running, probably because it set to not limit the use of memory but I found that a normal shop will not use much more
  13. I think if you doubled or tripled the number of visitors the usage would not raise much

@mdekker will it show up in 1.0.2?
  16. I have only one question is this @Traumflug Markus, what is that that all big e-commerce do wrong using ES?
  17. There is a very interesting series of artickles out there. This is the first. All concentrate on ElasticSearch in a e-commerce perspective https://qbox.io/blog/using-elasticsearch-in-e-commerce-part-1
  18. I have said from beginning that the big test for tb will come the day it breaks backward compability with PS. When that happens there must be enough modules and themes, native or commercial to satisfy the merchants. If not they will not switch. To think they will have to because PS problems, well perhaps but again, there is a LOT of alternatives out there
  19. But then all communication with external services is no good. Why dont we do a new GA or Piwik and integrate it.
  20. I am certinly not a developer but as I understand it the list you present about what can be done for me seems to mean a lot of core changes. There is a working module that is just not complete. I think that ES has proven many times the difference in time used for searches. Why make it more complicated and somehow invent the wheel one more time. Why not use the knowledge of people that probably has forgotten more about how seach engines should be built than anyone of us will ever learn
  21. @vincentdenkspel That was the benefit I meant ;-)
  22. @wakabayashi The normal search in the Swedish shop is enough I assure you.
  23. @vincentdenkspel I will support it even if I have no use at the moment. That I stated in my answer. In a way my hosting project will ofc benefit from a ES module.
  24. @wakabayashi that is my meaning. I will not for the moment have any use for it though. We have got a very tempting offer on the adult site where it would be good. On the hosting site are 19 products so hardly needed there. On the Swedish site it is a different kind of B2B customers that know exactly what they are after. But who knows about the future, perhaps I find something new to sell.
  25. @vincentdenkspel I never doubted that. What I said was that I doubt there is much use buying both modules. Ofc you can have 3 search windows ;-)
