  1. Ok ok ok! I already read this (I'm not the original poster): https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/606489-prestashop-sucks/ I know that is more important security up all the other things... BUT... is it really too much insecure to have hashes (or other special characters) in the title, not in the URL! If not, in that case I'm going to use "n." or "no" intead of "#". Example that use # in product title (not PS/30bees) this is a VERY BIG diecast shop: https://ck-modelcars.de/it/eur/p/41665/mini-all4-racing-no304-rallye-dakar-2016-roma-bravo-1-43-true-scale/tsm430234/ In the URL the "#" is converted to "no", or "n-", but in the title the # is present. Is it possibile to do this in automatically in 30bees during the manual creation of a products? Instructing the friendly url "manager" to converting a word in the title to another one in the url. During a csv import is easy, you simply need another column and "regex" the string... and by API? And why # are secure if used in a forum post, but they are not in a product title?
  2. @spidawebs are you using tablets in your shops or computers?
  3. @pedalman said in I'm going to create a free module: Any trustworthy external review provider^^ should offer an export option of customer reviews a shop has gathered. eheheheheh they all want to maintain you as a customer... I think that no review provider offer an export option.
  4. @datakick said in I'm going to create a free module: @foolab said in I'm going to create a free module: In my suggestion, I meant that questions are separated from reviews. than it should be a separate module - there isn't really any relation to reviews. The only relation is to send a notification (email?) to who already bought that product and/or to who left a review (better to all the product buyers). But yeah it's better a separate module.
  5. @datakick said in I'm going to create a free module: @foolab said in I'm going to create a free module: I don't know if this can be too much, but... how about to enable guest/customers to ask public questions to reviewers? In this way, reviewers (and the shop owner) could reply creating more engagement and a knowledge base with useful content (SEO). Well, there is already a feature in my backlog for responses - merchants will be able to reply to reviews, and these will be visible to all visitors. But I don't plan follow-up questions/comments - max one reply per review, with no option to react on this reply. Would that be enough? In my suggestion, I meant that questions are separated from reviews. Question&Answers are a method to get some info from people who already buyed and/or the shop owner and have that info publicied near reviews (like Amazon's)

  7. A little note: I'm testing 1.0.3 and blockviewed module have "prestashop" as author.
  8. @alwayspaws :ok_hand: I think that the free version will be enough.
  9. about validation, I don't know if is already possible but think about the possibility to allow of emails like: username+test@domain.ext https://www.cs.rutgers.edu/~watrous/plus-signs-in-email-addresses.html
  10. BBEdit compare and merge works like this (4'04''): https://youtu.be/-gca80hbnIU?t=4m3s The other solutions I don't know if they allow you to edit files during the merge.
  11. I'm on high sierra and TW 5.5.2 works. I installed BBEdit and is the same as TW, I'm going to BBedit (free) now as TW seems to not getting updated anymore. Hundred of files changes... but do you merge them automatically? Don't you manually review them before merging? All depends on how often you are going to do this updates... you could setup a private GitHub (has a price) or install the alternative GitLab (never used) and
  12. As a text editor I use: Text Wrangler I use it for compare files/directories too.

    I hope...

    Happy 30bees year!
  14. https://themeforest.net/item/megashop-prestashop-theme/4331276 I asked if they are interested in TB and they said yes: https://themeforest.net/item/megashop-prestashop-theme/4331276/comments?page=14&filter=all#comment_18396726
  15. come prima cosa proverò a vedere se 30bees è compatibile con bindcommerce
  16. @zimmer-media said in Update quantity via CSV: With this script all quantities are emptied during the update and then re-imported. If, for example, items are not listed in the CSV file, they will automatically receive the amount zero (may be irritating if the sub item number variant is not correct). in this way, if the script fails all the quantities are set to zero?! right?
  17. @lesley said in New theme modules for 1.1.x: In 1.1.x we are looking at changing the modules up a bit. We are going to be reducing the number of modules that are used in themes by combining several modules down into single modules. An example is the block my account and the block my account footer. There is no reason to have to maintain 2 modules for this. At the same time we are looking to introduce new front end modules as well. Things that theme developers can use to make shops prettier or more functional. What kind of new front end modules would you like to see? For the frontend, I would like a Categories page, where all the products from all the categories (with the possibility to exclude/include specific cats/subcats) are listed so people can filter them.
  18. I don't know if can be any help but I got the "too many redirects" error too (on all pages, not only category pages) and I solved enabling: Configure -> Shop Parameters -> General: enable "SSL" enable "SSL on all pages" options p.s. I'm using nginx and not apache
  19. Ho installato oggi pomeriggio una prima installazione di test, se mi piace (per ora sì!), procederò a migrare un vecchio VirtueMart 1.5 su 30bees. Ma più che migrazione penso sarà una nuova installazione e configurazione.
  20. @mdekker I'm not 100% sure about that, but yes I think that with the youtube's HTML5 player you can have many videos on the same page without slowing down the user's browser. If all that I said is not true, this can help: https://webdesign.tutsplus.com/tutorials/how-to-lazy-load-embedded-youtube-videos--cms-26743
  21. @mdekker uhmmm maybe as "flash player" is gone for good now, controls=2 is not needed anymore.
  22. @vincentdenkspel if you upload less then 5 videos per month you can use this: https://clipchamp.com ...but I don't see vimeo as a "video reviews" platform
  23. @norwegian_rat said in Youtube or Vimeo ?: as we added the iframes the page got slower and slower you need to use the embed code without loading the video player, you have to use controls=2 to do it. (source)
  24. Same problem here. I'm getting Gateway Time-out I have max_execution_time set to 600 I'm on nginx+php-fpm. In nginx vhost configuration I added: fastcgi_read_timeout 300; this solved the problem
  25. @roband7 said in New theme modules for 1.1.x: I’m also hoping that we can begin thinking about a better way than the current module/hook system. Something more widget-like, where the individual widget has no knowledge at all about where it’s used. Coupled with some sort of grid-based layout-system where instances of the widgets are combined. Coupled with some sort of system where these grids are connected to specific pages. take a look here: https://forum.thirtybees.com/topic/1238/better-templates-mods-management
