  3.

Is anyone using the datakick module?

I have the datakick_data/assets/ directory that is huge (12GB). Do you know if it is safe to purge it?

I already sent a mail to @datakick to get support but I'm writing in here too so once I got a reply this will be useful to other TB users too.

What functionality do you guys need from such sync module? Is it one way, or two way sync? Orders, catalog, mapping, price management,... ?

If we coould put together scope, some dev (maybe me) could pick up the task.

Prestalia’s ebay module do two ways sync and all the other thing and plus you can sync to the marketplaces with different surcharges (per category, per manufacture, per supplier etc.)

Yes it is. It contain both time (year) and distance ( 9 460 500 000 000 km) so it is pretty good thing.

Well, no. It's only a unit of distance.

ut if there is something specific for patience measuring then enlighten me. And sorry for offtopic.

For patience I usually use "don't hold your breath"... so I think that after all this waiting, we can all be freediving champions.

Jokes apart, I understand that this can be a complicated deal so I will hold my breath a little more 😂

Soon ? Your patience can already be measured in light years ...

a light year is a distance unit and not a time one ^_^

Important thing is that we are committed to this. Although we prefer continuation of thirtybees for various reasons, we are prepared to fork and proceed under the new brand if the deal is not reached soon.

I hope the deal will be reached... but if it will be a matter of switch from 30bees to 42bears it will be ok too.

@Traumflug Well it makes sense, if you want that. But as he is aksing for csv files this can lead to new entries in the db, which arent wanted. Of course depending on how the csv looks like.

I’m going to use that to init a save on every product id in the list. The list will include simply product ids (or reference).

I think/hope that, as the product already exist, save() will behave the same as hitting the save button in a BO product page without changing product data.

  9. I have a module that auto sync product once updated, so doing that with an “external” php I hope will allow me to “force” a sync of different lists of products.

This because products that are updated from other modules like the datakick it self (or maybe “mass edit”) seams that are writing directly to the db without using the update() that unit the sync.

p.s. Maybe I’m wrong about the update() that will init the sync... I’m going to do some test next days with a couple of test products.

Also check if you need save() or if update() is enough.

what are the differences between them?

I'm going to test it with a very limited list of test products.

p.s. Thank you! I'm going to give some feedback on the next days so maybe this can be useful for other thirtybees users too.
