  1. I have been doing a lot of testing and I like the thirty bees environment and systems I am really keen to keep with the PS 1.6 basis. So while there a some of our modules giving problems, I was willing to put up with those and change our ways. BUT - our website needs the Advanced Search 4 module by Presta-Addons. It is not compatable with thirty bees. I have chatted with them, and they are not likely to make it compatable either. So we are stuck. Our website runs on filtering with ranges and I can find no other way to do this other than the Advanced Search 4 module I will keep an eye on you all going forward and wish the project every success but i feel at this time i will need to stick with PS 1.6 and all it's shortcomings
  2. @vincentdenkspel said in 'Extract' module from live site ?: @haylau and if the module creates some database tables? will they also be created once I moved a copy through ftp ? Yes, although if the module has any existing data in the main site, that will not be transferred across. If you do need existing data you will need to export/ import the table after installation
  3. You should be able to use ftp to download the module folder and move to the test folder. it will then appear in the test site modules list ready to install
  4. @the-rampage-rado said in Show price without VAT: If it was b2b would he/she need it at the final step? I doubt… Do you work with B2B? I don't know about the OP but for us having a price displayed on the web inclusive of VAT confuses many business that are used to working with net prices. yes, the VAT has to be displayed at checkout, and they understand and accept that. BUT displayin inclusive of VAT on the product page confuses them totally Our trade account customers are used to working net of VAT. The don't need to consider the VAT because most of the claim it back

    Paypal Errors

    Paypal Errors

Sorry for the duplicate. Put this in the wrong topic and did not know how to move it using 30bees 1.0.7 and 30bees paypal module 5.3.3 Just testing sandbox at the moment but we get error message of "Error(s) occurred Invalid request - see details" There is no way to see the details. Now, I have narrowed down the problem. It is PHP related. Works fine on versions of PHP upto and including 7.0 but get the error message on PHP 7.1 and 7.2 Is this likely to be a sandbox incompatability or generic problem with the module? Will it be fixed soon?

    PayPal Error

using 30bees 1.0.7 and 30bees paypal module 5.3.3 Just testing sandbox at the moment but we get error message of "Error(s) occurred Invalid request - see details" There is no way to see the details. Now, I have narrowed down the problem. It is PHP related. Works fine on versions of PHP upto and including 7.0 but get the error message on PHP 7.1 and 7.2 Is this likely to be a sandbox incompatability or generic problem with the module? 9. Was this fixed in 5.3.3? I am getting the same error
  10. Our products have unique references that contain specail characters For example A product reference code is : UBOLT/BZP/M10115164*60 (this is because it basically specifies the dimensions of the product) When I search for this product all of the "*" are treated as special characters and so hundreds of products are returned. How can we make the search specific. The process used to work in Prestashop prior to 1.6.1.11 and then the broke it. I used to roll back a file.
  11. We use the knowband one page checkout on PS 1.6 and it is great. I have just asked them about thirtybees. They told me that the module should work (great I will test it later). But also they will be happy to support customers with the thirtybees installation within their normal support criteria
  12. Same problems as with prestashop 1.6 I think 1) If a customer uses the contact us form to send a message they can add an attachment. When we reply we can't add an attachment 2) If we initiate the thread from the customer order page we can't add an attachment, but more importantly the email we send does not have a click here to reply link. So if customers just reply to the email can;t be seen in PS / 30bees 3) If a customer sends an email to the support email address either initially of from point 2 above then we can use IMAP to bring the email into the store message system - BUT the IMAP does not fetch the email subject (not too imortant) but does not fetch email attachments (very imortant) We are new to using customer service as we normlaly use external messaging systems but I am trying to integrate everything. Does my above analysis sound correct. Is this anticipated behaviour or bugs?
  13. Just a thought. We have a few modules that we have "bought" for prestashop. Buyng software is just a licence to use - correct? So if the licence was bought for prestashop, is it legit to then use that same module on 30bees?
  14. Works with thirtybees or supported by emagicone? I have just asked their support and they told me they are not supporting the 30bees fork of prestashop. I have tested the software and it seems to work, but that is not the same as supported
  15. Thanks for all the replies. I think I am starting to get to grips with the process. I am just nervous as we don't want to loose SEO., but have a lot of testing to do with live data because I don't think all our modules will work. That is why I want a fresh install to give those modules the best chance of working So this works: Create a brand new installation of 30bees Migrate all data into it from prestashop play with 30bees to get it right When 30bees is good to go migrate data from prestashop again using ftp delete the prestashop files and move the 30bees files across to the home folder. Sort out the config files and URL in database (if I have installed 30bees originally on a subdomain then the database will not need moving at all?, just the config file to point to it
  16. @cdwebman Thanks, I must be being thick because I just don't understand. I checked the module installation video and it seems to use the URL of the existing shop and therefore 30bees becomes live instantly So lets say the prestashop in on website.com 1) Create a subdomain (30bees.websitecom) and install freshcopy of 30bees 2) Install migrationpro on 30bees.website.com 3) Import all data and stock from prestashop to 30bees.website.com using the module but keep the URL's as they are 4) Website.com is still active 5) 30bees.website.com can be configured and tested until 30bees is exactly as required 6) when 30bees is spot on run the module again, this time instruct to switch the URLS 7) 30bees.website.com magically becomes website.com with all data and url's maintained So how are all the files from 30bees.website.com moved to website.com? I would love to see an isntruction manual showing how this works. The details on the module page do not convince me
  17. So it looks like the module does not do quite what we need (thanks for the support @Araz) It is more on a one off migration It will do 1 & 2 on this list, but really the 3 & 4 are more important
  18. @briljander In a very very complex way :) Problem for us is that we manufacture. We manufacture and sell finished products but also sell the raw materials. Also a lot of our trade is offline (trade accounts), some on ebay, some on Amazon some on ManoMano, now on Amazon Vendor programme So I have lots of databases and spreadsheets, and storemanager running via task schedulers and crons to fire off syncs every hour or two An absolute nightmare to be honest. And I am certain when I leave the company, the whole thing will grind to a halt
  19. @lesley said in Migrate Prestashop to a new thirtybees installation: email As part of the process (I saw a vid on prestashop) you add the source URL. If all the UrL's are kept the same after migration then surely the original store is nomore? I can't see contact details on the module page though. Do you know how to get their contact details?
  20. @lesley I saw that, but it looks to be a single one off process. Once it is done you can't use the source site any more. I would need to continue using the source site until I was certain we had thirtybees working just how we wanted it do, then the flick the switch. How do we talk to the developers? It seems contact on the shop is direct to shop staff not module devs?
  21. We use ERPnext for stock management (well everything management really, production, buying, selling etc) Unfortunatley is is not linked with Prestashop or Thirty Bees, but perhaps thirtybees should look at an integration with exisitng ERP systems rather than trying to be one itself?
  22. I have used a prestashop module from presto-changeo to create a backup of our prestashop 1.6 and then upgraded that to thirtybees. It shows I could have some problems (not least two major modules we use, a quoting system and m4pdf) So I need to work harder at this. Now, our prestashop is quite old. It has had so many themes, modules, upgrades that it is full of rubbish. I want to start again What I would like to be able to do is 1) Create a brand new thirtybees installation locally on my windows 10 laptop 2) Copy into that installation all of our customer data and product details, images etc. Maintaining all order details, passwords, customer service records etc 3) Modify and test thirtybees to get it exactly how we need it, while periodically update the tables with the new customer and product details so it is kept up to date 4) When we are satisfied thirtybees will do what we need, move all the files and databases across to our current installation Is there a way to do this ?
  23. Would be good to have a link on the forum back to the main 30bees site
