  1. Thanks for the reply I have done that but when I save I get this error message Email template must contains {subject} placeholder
  2. upgraded from 1.07 to 1.08. Received this message UPGRADE COMPLETE! Errors SQL 1.0.8 1064 in INSERT INTO `ps_configuration`(`name`, `value`, `date_add`, `date_upd`) SELECT 'TB_MAIL_SUBJECT_TEMPLATE', '[{shop_name}] {subject}', NOW(), NOW() WHERE ( SELECT COUNT(*) FROM `ps_configuration` WHERE `name` = 'TB_MAIL_SUBJECT_TEMPLATE' ) = 0: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'WHERE ( SELECT COUNT(*) FROM `ps_configuration` WHERE `name` = 'TB_M' at line 3
  3. We use StoreManager https://www.prestashopmanager.com/order/
  4. So finally I have an "official" reply from "ERDF International Trade Adviser |North West International Trade Team , Department for International Trade" Having spoken to my colleagues I can confirm that the new German packaging laws would apply if your product is being warehoused in Germany. However, if a German customer is buying from your UK website this wouldn’t apply**_ And The German Packaging Law would apply if A sole trader or other type of business is warehousing product in German Trading on Amazon under .de (multi country platform) The business website has German SEO or the website is specifically targeting German customers
  5. LOL - no, but it would be nice We can;t use geolocation either because shipping costs in the UK are postcode specific No, with 5 step checkout the customer can use the Compare carrier module to see shipping costs without having to enter their full address (just country and or postcode) But we actually use Knowband one page checkout which calcualtes on the fly. So a customer can simply change country or add postcode and it will show shipping costs without needing a full address or saving the address.
  6. The main problem I find with OPC is not the layout (yours does look better) but the fact that the customer still has to add and save an address before seeing the real shipping costs.
  7. We do this using the front end. Far easier Or you could use a POS system. We have storemanager for Prestashop which has an inbuilt POS. Seems to work with TB OK
  8. I think "importeur" there is about companies importing large quantities from a manufacturer. I am talking about straight to consumer. I think this may be relevenat though Does the German Packaging Act also apply to exports from Germany? No, the German Packaging Act will only apply in the Federal Republic of Germany. Insofar as packaging is exported outside the scope of application, the Packaging Act does not apply in this respect. However, since this involves the transposition of European law, separate national laws also apply in other EU countries. If they are saying they can send unregistered unrecylceable packaging to the rest of the world, then surely they can't expect the rest of the world to adhere to their systems. I strongly beleive this is for the sellers IN GERMANY and cannot be enforced to sellers outside of Germany
  9. Just wondered if any of you talented folk have an insight to the new German packagining laws If we, as a business in the UK or USA or france, or well Anywhere, sell an item on Ebay or Amazon, or our own sebsite (let's say a generic 99p widget) and that item has to be shipped to Germany do we have to register and adhere to their new laws? Full Page cache

    Yeh I know. I was reporting because @lesley said I should :)

    Full Page cache

Thirtybees 1.07 PHP 7.0 Debug Mode on Server Side caching set to file system, level 1 Full page cache enabled causes this error on front [ThirtyBeesException] Unknown resource type '
  12. @the-rampage-rado said in Express Cache 3 v3.4.0 - by Express Tech: the WOW Really is there a need to be so disparaging? Actually I do run our own VPS, but that does not mean I know everything. Is it not better to assume little or no skill level rather than assuming we all know as much as you?
  13. @coffeeguy said in Sending a message to a customer, is it possible?: :rollingonthefloorlaughing: it comes to us all I am afraid Actually that message system has lot of niggles. No formatting, no attachments, replies are not "on thread" but come to your normal email system (That is there is no "click here to reply" so customer can just reply direct to the email)
  14. @the-rampage-rado said in Express Cache 3 v3.4.0 - by Express Tech: Many variants and none of them is as problematic as the inbuild static cache and this module. And all probably way beyond the knowledge of a simple merchant
  15. Disable those modules and see if the problem is still there. If the problem goes away, enable ONE module and test again, then switch them about. You should then be able to tell if the module is at fault Was the problem just after switching to PHP7? Many modules are not compliant
  16. Are you using thirtybees or prestashop still? Those problems were fixed a while ago in PS, so thritybees should also be ok Do you have any installed modules that add tabs to the product page in the backoffice?
  17. @traumflug This is why I was asking about the module and not the full page cache https://forum.thirtybees.com/topic/2225/thirty-bees-1-0-7-full-page-cache-errors This is a recent comment about the full page cache not working Should I add to that thread or start a new one?
  18. @dosbiner said in Express Cache 3 v3.4.0 - by Express Tech: full Yep I looked at that but was not sure how to use it. Do I need something installed on the server? It looked like I had to enable serverside caching and then filesystem? And then enable full page cache? I did that and got a 500 error. Also I read on this form that the full page cache was broken and to leave it for now Also - how do we control that cache and its size etc. The module in very transparent with the size of the cache, how to flush it etc
  19. Anybody using Express Cache 3 v3.4.0 - by Express Tech? Worked great on PS1.6. On 30bees 1.07 I can install and it thing the caching is working, but there are no settings in the back office to configure on the module page. Browser console shows: Can anyone spot if this is 30bees or module related? 20. On the customer page you specify which group they should be part of. So it is a manual process. Though I have seen some modules that can pre-set customer to groups. Not sure how they work though. We did this for B2B also. Allowed us to set prices specific to them also. We have come away from that now. The problem was that with some B2B customers having hundreds of orders / quotes it really slowed down the customer page as it lists all the transactions.
  21. Seems to me that assigning those customers to a specific group would be the preferred option. You must have a good reason for this not to be (perhaps explain the reasoning so we can understand better) An ugly way would be to use a cart voucher. Perhaps set the price of the product at a silly price, then the voucher can be set for specified customers that brigs it down to a reasonable level
  22. You can also send a message from the order page
  23. @pedalman said in customer wants me to add "text" to invoice: invoice Yes, so that is the customer message. It is exactly what we do. There is no way to manually add it though. It has to be done at the time of the order in the order message box, then use one of the systems shown to add that message to the invoice
  24. Do you mean each customer can add information to the order that can be seen on the invoice? So for example, we have customers who add their purchase order numbers, and those numbers appear on the invoice for the accounts department For this, we advise them to use the "Order Message" box while placing the order. But it still does not appear on the invoice by default. It is possible to hard code the invoice tpl file so that it includes the customer message, but we use the M4PDF module and do it that way
