  1. Yep, it depends on what you NEED your store to do. Because of the nature of our products the ONLY module that is essential to us is the Advanced Search module to allow good filtering based on product features. Every thing else is icing on the cake Oh, apart from a reliable payment module of course

I understood a day or two) Errors of your customers related to missing DNS-record, but at the current moment, all record represent correctly, so it seems that DNS-record still propagates right now. All DNS-record for your nameservers represents correctly.   4. Is there a specific named log I should check? Not seeing anything in any logs I have found so far. So presumabky you are saying there shuuld be no specific server related issues that allow / disallow the webservice from working? The IP address was changed a couple of weeks ago so perhaps still being populated? TBH although we do have a VPS so theoretically we are in charge of these things, it is not really my skill set. Our hosts changed the IP address and then helped with all the setting changes but not sure if they got everything right or even how to check. We do still get some issues with emails etc. IP should be : 109.123.115.13
  5. Can anyone help? Really struggling with this latest update: This is not a firewall issue as I have disabled the firewall Webservice runs just fine. (Presumably it does what I do manually above) BUT when we click to import orders we get a message saying there are no valid orders to import This used to work, and still does with ebay / amazon. I cannot see any error logs. Carrier is not spotting any errors on there side My only guess is that there is a server setting somehwere that could be stopping this from working. My staff are starting to shout at me as they are having to type in all the courier orders. Can anyone offer any advice as to whaterver settings could be relevant here?

  7. Hi we use the webservice to send our orders to the carrier APi (Parcelforce) So in TB I activated webservice and generated the key. In the parcelforce website I added the store url (u-bolts-r-us.co.uk) and the key and all works well, and orders were appearing on the parcelforce website Something has changed a few days ago our host changed our vps ip address which gave us lots of issues slowly being addressed. But the one issue I can;t solve is that the webservice has not kicked in So, is the webservice linked to IP address somewhere? They have made some adjustments to the server and I wonder if some module / setting has changed . If I got to u-bolts-r-us.co.uk/api and enter the key it works But in the parcelforce system i get Your " Prestashop connection settings are invalid" So 1) Could it be an IP issue -where i can I adjust that? 2) is there a server module / setting that is required for the webservice to work remotely? BTW a few weeks ago i talked about a similar issue - but then it was the csf firewall getting in the way. That is not the case this time as I have tried switching off the firewall
  8. Do you even need to type it in? We don;t bother any more for the UK. All our couriers, including RM accept just the postcode. We also use https://craftyclicks.co.uk/ so customers can search for their address and do no typing at all

    Update - We have been getting IPN notices from PayPal recetly and they tie in. This is strange because in PayPal we have IPN disabled and I beleive the paypal module override this feature anyway However, I think this may be related to CSF firewall. I have allowed the paypal IP address through the firewall and will watch with baited breath to see if it re-ocurs
  10. Ah, it's OK. Realised that we were effectively blocking the couriers IP address. Added that to the firewall and all is now ok (until they change their Ip address and i forget what i did - haha)
  11. We have a VPS which we have WHM installed so in control of the server - although I know next to nothing about this. Recently we were under a DDOS attack. I was advised to install CSF which we did and that has helped a lot A side effect is the parcelforce API system uses the thirtybees webservice to draw down shipping details for orders It seems the CSF firewall is blocking the webservice. Does anyone have any idea what settings I would be looking at that would be blocking this service?

    I think I understand.So how about accessories Product 1: Bracelet Product 2: One word engraving Product 3: Two words of engraving Product 1 then has two accessories associated with it. If customers want two words engraved they add product 1 and product 3 to the cart because it is accessories you can show product 2 and product 3 on the same page as product 1 we have similar with U-bolts where a customer can buy just the u-bolt or they can buy the u-bolt with 3.1 certificate and / or a letter of certificatin https://u-bolts-r-us.co.uk/light-pattern-gripped-u-bolts/8334-u-bolt-m6-by-25mm-thread-27mm-inside-diam-54mm-inside-height-bzp-zinc-plated-5055624401912.html You could also use a cross selling module to make the accessories appear on the cart page

    An "ugly" way is the only way I can think of Say for example the product is a house name plate, and customers can have house names engraved and you charge per letter Product is called "Name Plate" - product has an attribute called "Number of letters". Then the attribute has values of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 etc The in the product set up page you use the combinations section to assign these values and they have an impact on price. So value of 1 has an impact of £1, value of 2 has an impact of £2 etc Your customer will see something like this Then you probably need to be quite explicit in wording both on the product page and on the cart page that says "Please select the number of letters to be engraved on your name plate, then in the order message box please type your message carefully Of course you could use words instead of letters or band the together so number of letters 1-10=£1, 11-20=£2 etc Hope that makes sense
  16. Try switching friendly url's back on. It may just have been a glitch and switching off and then on again sorts out the htaccess re-write rules
  17. Thats why i wondered abut regenerating. They are all different locations and image styles. When you upload an image it creates lots of others. That is why some work and others don't So for example on this page https://lovely-gifts.co.uk/wellbeing/aromatherapy/aroma-bath-potions/total-unwind-potion-lavender-orange-sweet-basil?search_query=unwind&amp;results=3 The main image URL is: "https://lovely-gifts.co.uk/wellbeing/aromatherapy/aroma-bath-potions/1" Which does not have an image, but when you click the URL is "https://lovely-gifts.co.uk/845-thickbox_default/total-unwind-potion-lavender-orange-sweet-basil.jpg Which is there - but as you can see they are actually different images that have been created by the store on upload So when you re-generated the images are all the lines "full" like on this catgegories section below

    Payment errors

    @Jonny - this is very intermittent. Our last customer kindly took some screen prints as he was doing a repeat order. And that means the intermittent problem can possibly be narrowed down to individual customers - and therefore perhaps a hardware issue at their side? So my customer who took the screen prints told me that he was using safari on an ipad - do you think this could possibly be related to a bug in the theme? I haven't got an ipad for a few days so i can't check it out. Any other way of testing this theory? To add: we are using the Panda Theme
  20. We seem to be getting a lot more payment errors than we used to. Payment is recieved at PayPal but we get these messages and the order is not created. I have checked as many logs as I can see and see no other help. TB 1.08 and PS PayPal module - of course it may just be a paypal issue Any ideas?

    Just a thought. On the PS PayPal module page, the latest updates say " [*] fix cross origin problem (http/https) with Test TLS & cURL buttons" https://addons.prestashop.com/en/payment-card-wallet/1748-paypal-braintree-official.html So it must be a known issue that can be fixed?
  25. Yes, looked at those but I would have to manually add each category and manually update as and when. The block categories should be automatic
