That's probably because thirtybees doesn't operate addons alternative - some sort of centralised repository that your store could query and download new version from. I'm not really sure if there is a plan for such repository, though - maybe the new updater will be the solution for this problem

Exactly.

That said, I have seen module updates. Many of them. There is some existing mechanism, but only @mdekker knows how this works or how to get a new release into this.

@Traumflug you are right, there seems to be some mechanism. tbupdater module already checks for module updates from this location https://api.thirtybees.com/updates/modules/all.json

The question is how this list updates. TB store expects community modules to integrate with github webhooks, so I guess similar mechanism is / should be in place for native modules.

Excellent hint!

Lesley told me about an all.json file and where it lives. I thought this is for the module store, where module versions don't really matter, so I put it low on the TODO list.

Over the last few hours I updated this file for all default modules, so if updates now appear in your shop, all is golden :-)

Very nice. Though I would never buy a car that is dependent on software updates by the developers... this is not true for the best ecommcerce software and community of the world.
