CoffeeGuy Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 All I did was edit a category....Β After saving it, that category disappeared! Cannot be found! I went to my website and all I get is a 500 server error. I cannot change that category back the way it was. Now my site is down. PLEASE HELP! ASAP. π π
AndyC Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Have you not accidentally disabled it , ie turned it off , or changed the seo Can you not restore from your host site..
Crafter Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 You can probably still log in to your backend (hopefully) if you can, log in and go to Menu >> Advanced Parameters => Performance On that page, enable debug. Then reload your frontend You should see the error that is being encountered. Post whatever is relevant here. Β Β 1

DKO Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Try to rebuild the layered filter (edit it, and save).

I was still able to access back office, but that category was completely gone so there was no way to bring it back. I had to do a complete restore (from 2 weeks ago π )
CoffeeGuy Posted January 14, 2021 Author Posted January 14, 2021 I was losing sales. I had to restore a backup (but it was from Dec. 26th). All good now, but I am saving this thread incase it happens again. Any idea what happened? Thanks for your help everyone!
datakick Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Did you enabled debug mode, as @zenΒ suggested? That would have give you some error code, and we could give you ideas.
CoffeeGuy Posted January 15, 2021 Author Posted January 15, 2021 Well, it's already up and running because of the restore, but I am saving this post incase it happens again. It's already bookmarked π THANKS!!
led24ee Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Well, for You this is good, but for other this is pretty useless until there is more info what was reason and how to avoid this situation.
CoffeeGuy Posted January 15, 2021 Author Posted January 15, 2021 If I can help now, I will.... is there any way for me to pull the log at this point? Wait, probably not since it was restored. π
