x97wehner Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 I know the theme does not natively support it. But honestly, this is the only issue I have with the theme at this point. I have no idea what it would take to make the theme support it. Is it a few lines of code to change or many, many updates across many files? If it's not much, I'd love some guidance on how to do it. Anyone done this before? Thanks!
datakick Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 add <webp>1</webp> into your config.xml file. Should look like this: https://github.com/thirtybees/niara/blob/e8e7e46f18f5ff1b52df67b27382058be8af8537/config.xml#L221 Also, update to latest bleeding edge.

Thank you.

AndyC Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Would this work for Panda as well... As bought their Webp module , but it doesn't work properly

the.rampage.rado Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Another stupid question from my side: Is it normal for them to have absolutely the same size? I had the webp on 90, but I saw that there's an improvement at around 70 and regenerated them again but I think this is really strange...

That would be huge coincidence. What tb version are you running on? There were some fixes in bleeding edge regarding webp generation, so maybe updating to 1.4 will help.
the.rampage.rado Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 I'm running on the lates edge from 2 days ago (after the webp commit). Could it be that the culprit is the imagick module from M Dekker?
the.rampage.rado Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 (edited) After disabling the module the size of 70% webp is 1/4 of the 90% jpeg. Obviously the module has some overrides that conflict with the latest functionality. If anybody can 'heal' content creator module to use the webp version please send me a message with the fix! wakabayashi Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 Why is this Module needed for you? I can not even find it on github. I guess it's no more part of tb, cause MichaelD left long ago 😞

Few places in Warehouse where the modules call .jpg files but.... 1

the.rampage.rado Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 As I said I was rocking it since PS times and I didn't really look if TB uses imagick natively or not. Whatever... When removed the webp files generate and show properly. 2
