30knees
I've noticed a couple of times now that customers from Spain mistakenly select Germany as the country (Germany is where the shop is based). This impacts the shipping price, the rate, and requires a manual correction of the address. I'm hoping this isn't some shipping fee scam but just a mistake by the customer. Is there any way to prevent this mismatch? Edited April 29 by 30knees
the.rampage.rado
Make them 'virtual' product for the difference and make them pay for it. There's no way to lock the country if you offer international delivery.
x97wehner
If they give you the incorrect shipping address, there is not much to do except have them pay the difference, or cancel and refund and let them reorder correctly.
DRMasterChief
Yes, that does happen from time to time and in some countries I'm not sure if they didn't try to do it on purpose...
30knees
Perhaps the only way to minimise this would be to use some address verification / autocomplete system, at the very least for the postal code and city. Shouldn't be too difficult to implement, I'm assuming. Any thoughts on the solution? Edited April 30 by 30knees
Yabber
I have removed insertion of default country in the Country field. All these auto fillers only cause errors in shop, customer should choose the Country himself.

Yabber
The names of the countries should be translated into all the languages we have in the store so that there are no misunderstandings with customers. In PS 8 they added a useful option - automatic translation of country names using CLDR. In thirtybees, unfortunately, there is no such thing and you have to translate manually. DRMasterChief
Thanks for this! People sometimes choose (in our actual shopsystem, not tb) Swasiland for Switzerland 🙂
