  1. I have had bad expierence with this module developer too. Bought once a module from then. Some weeks lather I complaint, that it's not multistore ready. Got an answer like: "we will launch a new module in some days. This will be multistore ready. So you have to buy this one."
  2. I think this is a weakness of our ecommerce system. I don't know any good solution tbh. I hope we can improve this in future.
  3. @Traumflug said in Indiegogo ElasticSearch project: Looking at the current discussion style, such specification refinement is apparently no longer possible, so I'll stop discussing here. Good luck! Please don't do it. We need you here as well. Cause we need people who ask (critical) questions. This thread will help, to make a better module. We really should define, what the coder has to do and what not. I appreciate the way, you see merchants. Unfortunately not all coders think like that. So lets calm down and go back to constructive discussion ;)
  4. @dprophitjr said in Some ideas for improvement: @wakabayashi You mean like WooCommerce product slider? I've submitted a feature request awhile ago to support oEmbed for thirty bees. @dprophitjr Sorry, what is your question about? I dont know WooCommerce. I just proposed my ideas for a better blog. There are surely more. I can just say, that I implemented a short code system to my blog. You can do so powerful things with it and it saves a lot of time.
  5. Yeah from a trust perspective it would help. But it's just not worth the time, I believe. A good working migrator takes weeks to develop. I think, we just need to give thirty bees time to grow. When people recognize, that it solves problem for them, they will switch. Many things are going on here, which help: - Bug fixes en masse - New features (url rewrite, blog, speed improvements) -> see the new crowdfunding idea. Its in our hands! - Great support in this forum Still there are many people, who believe that PS 1.6 will go on. Wait some weeks/months and they will think different.
  6. @Pedalman I agree the two statements before. Probably you are not yet sure, if thirty bees is the better solution for you. Some weeks ago, I was at the same point. I decided to test thirty bees extensively, before we did the migration. If you wanna test it as well (without any risk!): https://forum.thirtybees.com/topic/357/tutorial-how-to-migrate-from-ps-1-6-to-thirty-bees

IIRC some of them require collecting traffic in the database, which virtually nobody turns on. Stuff like shown on the dashboard page is still interesting, no Google Analytics can show how many products were sold or how many purchases are waiting for being processed. Finally somebody, who says it! I hate this widespreaded opinion, that GA can handle everything. It's helpful to improve your site, but it doesn't tell you a lot about your core business.... On the other hand this area is just too big for thirty bees to reinvent the wheel. I'd rather see us rip all the useless builtin stat stuff out and do a kickass Piwik integration. Piwik runs locally, so it can get a lot tighter integrated than GA, has no privacy and loss of data ownership issues, also comes with plugin support for custom integrations etc. I have no problem with an external solution. But GA is just not good in the key numbers: returns, margins, revenue and stuff

  9. Well we all have many dreams. But I try to stay realistic for now :D New module ideas: - I still believe many merchants have problems to add custom content to their page. So this kind of module could help: https://contentbox.org/ - Google Adwords and Google Shopping integration I am not sure if it's clever to add too many new modules. I would prefer to see improvements on existing modules: - Blog module - Default review module is just horrible.
  10. @Traumflug great news! like that idea! @alwayspaws nice to see, that you start to code :D
  11. I doubt, that any shop can fullfill customer expectations without filters and search. I see only two reason to not support it: 1. You have no budget. Then you (hopefully) also don't have the server specs, to use it. 2. You are happy with the existing modules.
  12. @Havouza will you support the module too?
  13. @vincentdenkspel yeah that sounds logical. You are right: the text search is not included to the advanced search. We use inbuilt ps search for it. I am in! Just not yet sure, with which amount. I hope, we can find enough supporters!
  14. @Havouza said in Indiegogo ElasticSearch project: It depends probably. All modules I have bought I have been able to download the latest version for at least 12 months and I have bought many. The support is however limited to 3 months if you don't pay. For me, it is a difference, perhaps not for all though Can be for your modules... I have bought exactly the advanced search module from their site (not addons). You only get 3 months free updates! The support is so so. They answer, but don't expect them to fix bugs for free... To work with the tpl files is horrible. I hope Michael can do it better. @vincentdenkspel did a great work here and I think his information is fair and as accurate as possible. Advanced search has a feature called Seo Pages. I don't use it too often, but it could be interesting for the module. You can generate predifened filter results. Imagine you write in a blog about "blue shirts", but you don't have any such category. Then you can create such a page with blue shirts products in a few clicks. For me this question remains: What advantages do I have to switch from advancedsearch to this ElasticSearch module? As far as I understand they offer almost the same functionality. @mdekker maybe you can say something about this :) Speed & and editable tpl files I guess!?
  15. Probably this one: https://addons.prestashop.com/de/suche-filter/2778-advanced-search-4.html
  16. I think both is ok. If you do a translation collection by language, that would surely be nice.
  17. Interesting project. I have some questions: Will it be possible to search for content like cms pages or blog posts? What are the server requirements? How will the money be collected? All can just donate what they want or what is the plan?
  18. I use Xiaomi MI4... So quite different...
  19. Maybe it depends on the mobile we use...
  20. Yes I see the pink foot.
  21. Yes, I see it on my mobile phone.
  22. @mdekker said in Currency format: @wakabayashi How do you handle the Swiss situation? You mean the rounding with 0.05? Well we just define our prices. But when it comes to vouchers, its indeed problematic. We haven't any real solution for it. We just avoid percentage reduction as much as possible...
  23. @Havouza said in Difference between uninstalling and disabling modules?: But that is in many cases not the case either. I have tested very expensive modules, some with subscription fees that after I have uninstalled and then deleted still leave all db tables intact Yeah. As I said, the coder has to add the remove lines. Some just don't add. I don't know if they forget, just don't care or do it by intention....
  24. Yeah normally that's the difference. But it depends how the module is coded.
