  1. I believe it's more like VPS. But you can test it two weeks for free. Pricing depends on how much RAM you choose and which hoster. Cloudways gives you the service of "managed". You get an easy interface and a live chat. For example redis can be installed by a kid. It's so easy there... The files are hosted on digital ocean or vultr (or some others).
  2. Yes TB is ready for live! We have three stores with thirty bees online (for example: www.spielezar.ch). They work great. But we aren't on shared hosting. We have a dedicated server. If your budget is small, but you wanna have a good solution, I recommend you cloudways: https://thirtybees.com/blog/thirty-bees-on-cloudways/ You can create a free trial there. You don't even have to give them payment details. So really no risks at all :)
  3. Oh ok :) I just tested cloudways two weeks ago. I really liked the performance, especially when you think, what you pay for.
  4. Nice! Haven't seen that before. Why are you on shared hosting? Have you thought about cloudways? https://thirtybees.com/blog/thirty-bees-on-cloudways/
  5. Welcome to thirty bees! Are you on a shared hosting? I don't know about the error, but I have done like five migrations before and it worked always nicely.
  6. Have you activated profiling? (Settings -> Performance)
  7. It's hard for me to understand... You installend ccavenue payment module and afterwards your shop became slower, right? Have you contacted the modue developer? You can enable "profiling" in performance settings and check what it makes that slow. I move this topic to "modules".
  8. @Traumflug can you look at this? Goal: - Using multistore with two shops - shop 1 = ljsbooks.com - shop 2 = stargeezerstuff.com/shop -> stargeezerstuff.com is a landing page Is this possible?
  9. Oh yeah this does the job. But still from a technical point of view: Is it needed like that? Can't we add this if else in the php method?
  10. well It sounds as you wouldn't point the domain stargeezerstuff.com to root of ljsbooks.com. They have to point to the same folder.
  11. where is your tb insalled? which folder? You either have to put "store" in physical URL or Virtual URL but surely not in Domain...
  12. This variable is can be used in tpl files and it gives back the full url of the tb installation. From my opinion it makes no sense to have two. But I could be wrong...
  13. Hello Is it true, that we have two differnt variables for base dir? {$basedir} and {basedir_ssl}? Isn't that problematic? If I want to use it in my theme, I don't know which I should chose. On some I may have ssl on some not... Shouldn't we just have one and check in php, if ssl is activated?
  14. well this sounds like hardcoded PREFIX... Should be an easy fix for them.
  15. Probably yes, but not sure... I think then you would have to go with virtual URL.
  16. I would do like this: - Migrate manually the ecwid cart to tb and use multistore. - If you want a landing page as homepage, you could either customize your template or you install tb on subfolder. Then you will have url like lsjsbooks.com/shop and stargeezerstuff.com/shop
  17. Still I am confused, tbh. You wanna migrate from ecwid cart to tb and then use the multistore feature?
  18. Not sure, if I understand you right. You can put your store to a subfolder and configure it in the backoffice (called physical URL). What is problematic: if a store is in a subfolder of another store.
  19. I can't confirm this bug. Here it works as it should. But your site seems to be slow. Sometimes when I add the product to cart, it takes like 10 seconds to pop up. But it def. comes on my phone.
  20. I see the problems with your pics... Thats annoying. Have you tried to regenerate them?
  21. This can be caused by many factors like theme or browser... Please give us more Informations. A link would be helpful, so I can test with my own phone.
  22. Tbh I am completly confused right now :) But ok just test the thing out when your at home. I still believe featured products is what you mean. @alwayspaws you need to take a little rest. It's never good to work stressed on such project ;)
  23. @alwayspaws wants to define, which product are shown as new on the index-page in the slider. At least I understand it that way...
  24. @Havouza that won't help, I believe. I agree with @roband7: the featured products sounds like the solution.
  25. Well is there any reason why you would need a second installation? In case you wanna use the same theme or the same products, just anything the same, it logical to use multistore. We use multistore with tb in live production. There are still some old bugs left. But all in all multistore works better than it's reputation.
