  1. @Havouza said in German support for thirty bees: Can a layman ask a question, the regulations for Germany is only for shops run by German businesses or sole traders, or for all shops selling towards German customers If you write somewhere, that you send to germany. Then you have to follow their laws. Also if you publish shipping cost or so. So basically answer to your question is YES. What we do: We communicate, that we don't ship to germany. From time to time we get question: "oh come on, can't you do an exception for me?". Then we are allowed to this, without following german law. But of course that way, you aren't targeting germany.
  2. Hello Devs I see that professional modules all have an index.php file. I think it's for protecting directory view by users, right? Am I right, that I have to add this manually to my module? If yes, isn't it possible that TB adds this file, automatically? Regards Emanuel
  3. But that means that a cron job is exectued every minute or not? Doesn't that claim the server too much?
  4. Mine looks like this: I think it should be self explaining...
  5. I don't know for Plesk since my PS is installed on cPanel. There I have a Cron-Jobs Tab... Maybe you should just ask your server provider about it...
  6. Hm not sure. I always just copied the code itself... There is also some additional software for github.
  7. Sure, it is! You see the whole code there. It shows even what was changed...
  8. As far as I remember it's a module. So just deactivate the module, if you don't use it.
  9. Yes I agree, that documentation is a very important factor. I'm learning PHP since some weeks. When I wonder about something in Wordpress, I just google and find the answer for 95%. In Prestashop this is max 50% :D. Btw: There is a book from FabienSerny about 1.6 development. I don't think we can expect a big documentation of ThirtyBees soon... @mdekker and @lesley have so much other things to do... Am I right?
  10. In longer run it's surely needed, to split it. But right now, I don't think community is big enough to talk in different languages. Don't get me wrong... I am a native german speaker as well.
  11. @Lausli said in Eager to migrate from Prestashop 1.6: @wakabayashi How should it be possible to export and import variants? Also Orders can currently not be imported exported or better. You say "I create a new database and import the data" that sounds as if it is not a problem. I gave a short explanation how to do a clone. It was not a tutorial, how to migrate to TB. If you read my posts here, you see, that I was always recommending to wait for the migration tool...
  12. I totally agree with Nick in all parts (I even have 3 shops as well :D). I think the start of TB was quite good. Here is a lot going on. I agree with @MockoB , that upvotes shouldn't get much attention. Version 1.0 was released, but still we shouldn't forget that this a new project and we need patience. I expect a devlopment like that: 1. Migration tool (So community can test and report bugs) 2. There will be a quite a lot of new stores based on TB and some migrations from PS 3. They remove bugs fast and add some core function by modules (mailchimp, blog a.s.o.) 4. TB will get more migrations from PS 1.6 since it's just the better product 5. They launch Addons store and get much more attention from developers 6. Probably some coders will support @mdekker and @lesley with the core development I hope this is realistic, but I needs time. I wonder where we stand in one year :) What is your opinion?
  13. I thought you mean that the password is written after an account is created. I don't know if it's still like this, but it surely was... I don't like security questions to be honest...
  14. You can easily remove it from the template. But yeah, I hope it won't be included by default...
  15. I am not so sure, if this is true. I need better statistics about product sales for example. It doesn't differente between attributes. I haven't seen a good GA setup yet. As far as I know GA just takes infos by checkout. I also read in book about data analyse, that this part is not GA strenghts. But what if an order is cancelled? All in all I wish better statistics.
  16. @koskimaa said in How is going?: (plus all the useless analytics modules) has got to go. What do you mean with this? Google Analytics?
  17. @crosscut01 said in How to get fastest ThirtyBees?: @wakabayashi have you tried their demo or trial yet? No. I don't even have done a lot of test with ThirtyBees yet. I am waiting for the migration tool and then check all the things. Maybe I can live with the speed improvments anyway. Maybe I will look for a software. But as spidawebs said: now everything will work. But store commander needs to support ThirtyBees. We can't expect this always to work, if they only support PS.
  18. Nice work  Are the first 10 ids in category default or why do you skip? I hope ThirtyBees will deliver a clean installation soon. I hate this default/demo stuff...
  19. It was surely no real "PrestaShop" work... Theme was mainly developed by Gskema. He isn't anymore active on PS, since he changed his job.
  20. ThirtyBees will soon launch a cooperation with Cloudways. This seems to be your way to go. Cloudways is not expensive, but offer a good speed. There the cloning process also works bit differently. So I would just wait and invest time to improve other things of your store.
  21. @spidawebs said in How to get fastest ThirtyBees?: I know most of the PS 1.6 modules will already work with TB, but my concern is that in the future when TB moves on from 1.6, unless all the PS developers also support TB then there will be a lot less modules available. So it's good to know that the main developers are already looking at TB and plan to develop modules for it in the future. I feel a lot more confident now about switching. I just need to be sure there will be support for our Amazon and eBay modules in the future as they are critical to us. I completly agree with this statement. TB needs to get the size, that developers can't leave outside. I can't wait to have the own addon store. There is much room left, to do it better than PS :D
  22. Just wanna say. If you don't know how to clone your shop, you shouldn't try to migrate withouth the modul. Just wait. To make to clone, is actually not really TB related. But it's also not that hard. Maybe here is somebody, which finds time to make a little movie tutorial!? Problem is always, that your provider don't have the same software. Some use cpanel, some plesk...
  23. can you please send a link to your store? It's easier to help then...
  24. I dont see the problem, but maybe I don't get your problem right!? The link to the subcats in the breadcrumb are working. If you want to show this product up, you have to add it to all categories.
  25. I haven't tested it, to be honest. But I am surprised that you like the Prestashop Menu more. If you don't like the old menu, you can install the menu from Prestashop... Should be working!
