I am using GTM module: https://codecanyon.net/item/google-tag-manager-integration-to-prestashop/22023871

It is a basic $ 20 GTM module but sufficient for most of our shops.

just reviving this thread. Does anyone have some new tips on a nice GTM layers module except the one I posted?

I may be in need to rebuy it, but the price is pretty heavy for us.

Is there any other module that can set the various data types and is tried and tested with thirtybees? (other than @Smile's suggestion)

I use the free version of Google Tag Manager Consent Mode Banner Free v1.1.2 - by Tag Conciergе.

Works OK, with one language but has no option to translate in more in the free version. Works flawlessly with Google's privacy requirements (not only a banner).

I tried the Linea Grafica GTM module but they couldn't get it to work. Events weren't triggered.

Ops... wrong module -  the one I posted is cookie banner.

Here is their 'free' tag module but it is limited: https://github.com/tagconcierge/tc-prestashop-module-free

If you like it they have paid unlimited version on their page but it's yearly subscription, which I don't fancy.

I am now using this one, too.

The TagConcierge people never replied to my messages so I did not go with them.

I'd like to suggest that you compare those datas with i.e. Matomo. Lightweight script as Google is on the path to evil corp.
