wakabayashi Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Hello Guys Who here is using the official Mollie module? https://github.com/mollie/thirtybees What are you experiences with the module? Does it work smoothly? What about Mollie in general? Is it a good company to accept payments?
Peter Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 I didn't know there was a official module. I use the PS-module and that works very fine. Mollie itselfs is very good too. Cheap and fast.
wakabayashi Posted October 1, 2018 Author Posted October 1, 2018 @Peter thanks a lot for your fast answer. Which PS module? The free one? I guess it's almost the same, since the dev were the same (Martijn and Michael)
Kleijn36 Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Not tested this version, still running Mollie Payment Module v1.3.0 works smoothly. My experience with mollie is overall good. The latest version for Presta V3.1.0 2018/7/4 is made by @mdekker https://github.com/mollie/Prestashop/releases Compatible with PrestaShop: 1.5.x.x 1.6.x.x 1.7.0.x - 1.7.4.x
Baarssen Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 i work with version 3.1.0 downloaded from github/prestashop but i asume they are the same. For me it works fine, no trouble at all.
MockoB Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Does the module have any support? Since @mdekker and @SnowyCat obviously don’t want to be associated with tb, what will happen with your payments if an update is needed?
Baarssen Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 " Since @mdekker and @SnowyCat obviously don’t want to be associated " : Thats new for me. But if there should be a problem i will contact Mollie. I dont think that will be needed, because in all those years i use mollie i never had any problem.
MockoB Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 You mean you use other mollie module, different than the one deveoped by the above mentioned pll?
Baarssen Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 No both official modules are developed by mdekker/snowycat. I guess theyre hired by Mollie. I use the 3.1.0 version. I didnt look into this version for prestashop or thirtybees but i am pretty sure theyre both exact the same
MockoB Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 So lets hope they will support ps 1.6 or tb in future releases ...
wakabayashi Posted October 1, 2018 Author Posted October 1, 2018 @MockoB the ps module is basically the same... It will surely depend on how many merchants are using it. I plan to go with Mollie, it looks great and the feedback here is also good.
Peter Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 The only problem is: I sell in Holland and Belgium. I can't turn off iDEAL (for Holland) for the Belgium people and Bancontact (for Belgium) for Dutch people. They always see all paymethodes. But never heard complaints.
wakabayashi Posted October 1, 2018 Author Posted October 1, 2018 @Peter Not sure, if this has to be handled in the module or by Mollie.
Peter Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 @wakabayashi said in Official Mollie Module: @Peter Not sure, if this has to be handled in the module or by Mollie. I asked Mollie and for now it is not possible to make them invissible for those who don't have to see the methods. And i also don't know if it is Mollie where it isn't possible or the module
AndyC Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 I am interested ... Just 1 question though is this all done on your site or do you leave to go to mollie website to pay tia
Peter Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 @andyc said in Official Mollie Module: I am interested ... Just 1 question though is this all done on your site or do you leave to go to mollie website to pay tia You're going to the Mollie-website to pay but it is very secure.
wakabayashi Posted October 1, 2018 Author Posted October 1, 2018 Yes I guess thats actually the point. I believe (not an expert) that it's much more secure to go over to Mollies site. Handling cricital data like credit numbers on your own, sounds very risky...
AndyC Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Ok thanks ..I use braintree (PayPal) which is accepts payment on your website .. All you need to SSL and pass a few tests ..Nothing is stored on your website .... Well it works like that in Zencart. Will just keep to what I know then
wakabayashi Posted October 1, 2018 Author Posted October 1, 2018 @AndyC Not sure if I got you right: you stay on Zencart because of the payment methods?
vincentdenkspel Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 @wakabayashi I do. No problems whatsoever. My only problem is you have to (de)activate the various payment options in the backend of mollie. The payment options can't be activated in the backend of TB. I would like to do the following: give a discount when payment is made by iDeal. I think this should be possible with the right module and when payment options are separate TB modules.
wakabayashi Posted October 1, 2018 Author Posted October 1, 2018 @vincentdenkspel thx! I always like to see you back here! I guess that you would need the same thing like @Peter. Options depending on the payment method. I have no idea if it's possible. But I guess the module should just reconigze from the API which payment methods are active. Then depending on the module settings handle (fees/discounts) or don't show them at all if country isn't activated.
AndyC Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 @wakabayashi I have 2 steps to checkout - address etc and next page is delivery what you bought etc and payment which looks like this.. Paypal goes to Paypal to pay , the card you enter your details and press submit and all done
vincentdenkspel Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 @wakabayashi I have the promotions and discount module from @idnovate I was hoping this could be done with this module and a separate payment module. Haven't looked into this yet
wakabayashi Posted October 1, 2018 Author Posted October 1, 2018 I would be suprised if it works... Cause I believe you will see a payment method "Mollie" there and not the single ones, which would be needed.
