  1. I tried the demo. The PS and the TB one.

    - The results with pingdoom and google pagespeed is that there is no difference (some times a little better, sometimes a little worst so i would say it is simple aleatory due to servers). This can be because the demo website is very light and with only a few products, but i hoped something would improve.

    - Lazy load, that could be the thing i can visually recognize, i can not see how it is working. Usually with lazy loading you can see how images load if you scroll down very fast. here I can not see that.

    - Pre-connect: i see this is reflected in the code with option is on. But I was not able to check with any tool that really improve performance.

    - Image dimensions: very interesting feature. I know i have some images with this problem because i saw it with some tools (gtmetrix i think), but I am not sure how to test if this works of not since the demo usually is well constructed and there are not missing things.

    - preload images: not sure how it works so I will not evaluate it.

What to say, I think the module have interesting features but I could not proof any of them to have a real impact (in the demo store). Maybe It would be more evident in a shop with a lot of products, images... who knows. Maybe I will try it whith my new web when it  is done and see how it can impact a more "heavy" design.

No, since this will never be representative of reality but since there is a demonstration, have fun playing this and you will certainly be disappointed.

Personally I work to improve the experience of customers not robots without means of payment.

I am not talking about how many points does this module increase in the global pagespeed scoring. I am talking how many "ms" less to load, for example (this impacts in customer experience). This only can be measured with tools not with a person loading the page manually. Basically I am asking for some tangible proof (you sell your module with words like performance and speed and this is measurable).

  3. Hi,

For different reasons (like not having stores with multilanguage deeper herarchy than single language, or avoiding loosing all urls structure with adding a second language to a single language store,...) I would like to know if it is possible to change the url structure of language urls

The idea is to pass from:

    From actual structure:

    XXX.com/store/(if language)/

    To

    XXX.com/store-language/

So for example the /es/ store that only have one language (es) would be xxx.com/es-es/

And a actual store with multilanguage would be instead of xxx.com/int/es and xxx.com/int/en -> xxx.com/int-es/ and xxx.com/int-en/

    Any suggestion or idea?

  4. @Mark I am not either agree with the way TB is being managed, but there are more constructives ways to talk and express ideas. And also, sometimes if your/mine/others ideas are not implemented, we need to accept that things are not like we want, and take the decision we think we have to do. There is not more.

  5. Hello @Smile @datakick

Just to inform you that TB has another opportunity to take a PS piece of cake.

They just send a newsletter today that every module will need an annual subscription option. And even minor updates will not be available if you do not pay it. This can make angry some people and also make it less affordable to  small merchants.

You could try to capitalize this.

    Regards

  6. no OPC, the 3 steps

What I do not understand is that the code has included a comment to hide some sections.

    image.png.5b65dbbcff5cbb4388a87d68413c59d7.png

But when the product is deleted, is like these comments does not exist, they disappear what is not logic unless there is another TPL that is loaded :S

Here it seems to be working well, if the checkbox is marked it shows two addresses

The checkbox is "use the same address" so it should hide the repeating address. But If you see, this bug also affects the opposite (check the video how marking the checkbox each time makes the opposite. It only matter what was last settting, not if was marked or unmarked)

  8. I hope someone can help me because I do not know what more to do...

The order details seems to have 2 problems:

1- It seems if I delete a product, the visualization changes (does it use another tpl file :classic_sad:?) and it does not apply some of the changes I did to the tpl.... How is this even possible?

The change of state also affect to other modules like Visual composer that lose a lower banner I have. The only explanation I find is that is using another tpl that do not include my modification and either the VC hook...

2- I can only delete one product before having to reload. Any idea? it is very annoying for the customers...

i recorded a video of the 2 issues:

    https://www.loom.com/share/7613cc0f555a4b628eeb4ef90f137f39

I am with this problem for more than 1 month and I do not know what more to do

Maybe you're using 3 step checkout for Niara? I think I added that behavior.

The idea is that if you want the same address it should not show two addresses. I don't see an incorrect behavior with checkbox in your video, but it should start hidden, and then, if you want a different address for invoice you have to click the checkbox.

If you want same adress is good to show only one, that is correct. The problem is that each time you go out of the section that makes that "state" the one that only shows one address (does not matter if you want both adress to be the same or not)

Go to 0:20 sec in the video. You can see how I mark: "use same adress for invoice and shippin"g and this makes to show "two adresses" even if that usually means to show only one (it makes this because previously i unmarked and went back)

It is very confusing to explain :S

  10. Hi, I just discovered a bug in the address step.

The check button on "same invoice address" does have some troubles because can be activated and sometimes it shows both address and sometimes hide the repeated one. I discovered it seems to change the behavior each time we enter in this step keeping the "actual state" as the option that hides the second address. I mean: if use same address was activated, entering an unchecking the box will show the second address-> this is correct. But if we uncheck, go back and forward, "checking" the box, will show this time the second address.

As it is complicate to understand we recorded a video:

    https://www.loom.com/share/7969460c80fe4517ac3721cdf177e3b6

You can see the wrong behavior in second 22

Note: I am not sure if hiding the address when "use same" checkbox is activated is the natural behavior or it was a modification we made here in the forum.

    Hello

The problem of too many combinations coming out from automatic generation can be solved with modules done for this purpose, but are costly and the one that tried is also not really a big solution according to my tastes, I decided to not use it any more, it costed me over 200$, do ravage in the core, is hard to style, lots of mangles and work to be done to have it working

I found out another module that for my case is even more useful, but does work on a different principle and do not do the same, just similar thus, do cost much less and do not require any core modd.

It is very useful to create "solutions", e.g., let's make the example of a customized PC.

I do create all the products that can be used with a barebone base PC, the module allow to associate all those products in the product page of the barebone PC, with possibility to add some rules, eg. required, optional, single item, more items and so on.

So the client open the page of the barebone PC, can also find some basic combinations done with the built in combination system (or as many as needed, that falls back to the combination system, is independent, eg. colour of the case, power supply, format etcetera...), then in the the lower part of the page find a section created by the module where there are menus to add items, eg. memory, hard disks, cables, cards, fans, whatever one want to propose to the client.

The client choose some combination, then choose the additional items and build up its own custom PC, the module create a list of the "solution" so created and calculates the price, then in the cart everything is added as usual.

Works pretty well, is not heavy, does not slow down the system.

What I really miss, and have seen no one module doing that in the many e-commerce platforms around, are the logic conditions, e.g:
     - if you do use component A then show components D, G, H

    - if then component H is chosen do show components T, X, W and so on...

    - if at a certain point the client do choose a Component Z prompt the client to add the component B as a useful option, or, if the client choose components Z AND component W, force the client to add the component J as mandatory, and so on...

It would be wonderful to see some kind of product builder using logic conditions into TB

In the past I tried to get more information in such systems and discovered that do exist what are called "rules engines" to be used in such systems....

    https://martinfowler.com/bliki/RulesEngine.html

    Thank you

    Best regards

Can I know what module is this?

    Edit:

I have to admit that I totally missed the other forum thread about sprints. That was awesome! Thanks @datakick!

That can happen becuase it can be mixed with other posts. Maybe its own section? I would suggest that updates like this (kind of changelog at the end) could be together with updates changelog and future developments/roadmap, could be a fixed section in the website. Anyone that wants to check if this are moving, and what to expect, could go there.

  13. I'm talking about the messages that customer let in the comments box (next to address). Do you receive them?

also, I realized customers can pass the second step (shipping) without checking the box of conditions. If I activate this in the preferences section, condiciones field appear but it is not mandatory to accept them. Does someone have the same problem? any idea how to correct it?
