New Panda Update

There is a new Panda update which came out yesterday.  V1.5.4 for TB 1.1.0  Last update: July 4, 2020

How is the best way to upgrade to the new version so you don't have to go though the whole process of having to edit all your files

Are you able to just modify these files or is there more that that to do

I have the SAME question since I was never able to do the last update and would really like to get both TB and Panda current

I'm still on Panda 1.3

TB showed that it was current for 1.5.3 as well as this new one but I'm still on 1.4.6

Yeah I see now, I was just copying and pasting those bits. Yes never got mine sorted either

If I have to I can as I have a list of edits I need to do ,but is such a pain lol

@AndyC Exactly, just a wee bit of guidance helps tremendously for what is so obvious to those with experience.

 

Hopefully @Jonny can point us in the right direction to find out why we don't get the updates in BO!

I was actually not aware of this 1-click upgrade for the Panda theme, so thanks for the tip 🙂

Hi @elund

Can you please tell me what version thirty bees you are on to see the Panda update?

I'm going to try updating to bleeding edge from 1.0.8 then hopefully it will show up for me too.

Did you upgrade to Panda 1.5.4 without any issues?

I am on TB 1.1.0

I will do a backup before upgrading, but looks fine on my test shop.

Just updated TB from 1.0.8 to 1.1.x

No luck on Panda update 1.5.4

It still says I'm up to date with 1.4.6

Hopefully @Jonny can explain

panda is not ready for tb (1.1.x) bleeding edge
only manual update

im not sure if its work back update to 1.1.0
but you can try it on test store
update to tb 1.1.0 -> update panda via st theme editor -> update bleeding edge

Rolled back to 1.1.0

Get the same result no update for Panda 1.5.4

 

Bleeding edge as well as 1.1.0 ALSO gives me a 500 server error when viewing cart with Panda 1.4.6

Checked directory permission all good also have nothing cached.

Had to roll back to 1.0.8 for Panda 1.4.6 to work for me 😞

im not sure - i think
panda 1.4.6 to panda 1.5.4 - many missing updates

php version or others, i dont know at the moment

My test shop is actually running Panda on TB 1.1.X., and I have not seen any problems so far.

I did a manual update of Panda, since I don't have any license to my test shop.

Switch to debug mode (back office -> Advanced Parameters -> Performance) to see the actual error report. If you can't, because it's already a production shop, look into log/2020... to see at least a hint. Third option is to download the encrypted message on this 500 page and decrypt it in back office -> Advanced Parameters -> Logs.

The auto-update worked for me, too. I'm running bleeding edge.
