As far as I understand the greatest risc comes with the full page cache because it is not clear what we should or should not add to it. At least basic tutorial for non tech guys would be nice to have ;) The other caching systems I believe we (merchants) can't mess up.

It is possible that many of your changes of the default theme will not affect your custom one, because many of them come with their own modules, sliders etc. If you plan to add just products, categories and CMS pages it wouldn't affect the new theme I believe, but any front end modifications will be lost because all of them are preconfigured. Of course it is just my opinion, there are much more knowledgeable ppl here which could tell :)

It's hard to understand your example, maybe I had to read it twice ;) Isn't it possible to assign priority to every carrier, and if customer buys two products one with higher priority and one with lower, automatically the system to assign the carrier with higher priority. Or maybe you don't want to combine shipping?

@Havouza that's the way, yes.

@dynambee I'm not sure if you could accept withdraw in multiply currencies. I think if your bank account is in eur and you wish to withdraw usd there is no way to get over their exchange rate.

I prefer using higher resolution that is why I bought that monitor after all :)

@Havouza there is a way to choose your bank exchange rate instead PayPal, during payment with PayPal. I think I succeeded couple of times, and I remember another couple of times I gave up trying :)

Thanks for the suggestion @alwayspaws but my display is already with resolution over 2500x.... I am talking about my current ps 1.5 shop. May be it is different with thirty bees (1.6), when I have running thirty bees shop finally I will fight then with the image sizes. About @yaniv14 suggestion I believe it was for you.

It is logical, yes :) but I believe @unica-e-shop talks about more automated process, instead of forcing the customer at the dilemma if he choose free or non free shipping :)

@alwayspaws if I zoom the page the images get blurry and agin I can't see the products clearly ...

What if customer buy only products which are free delivery?

Sorry for spamming your topic @alwayspaws, but @yaniv14 is there any way to have larger images just for the back office - products listing, orders etc. without affecting the front office appearance? Many of the products I sell are very similar and with close titles, and either I am on 24" screen I have to enter products to see larger product images to be sure if I send the correct item.

I should consult with my accountants about that but it makes sense what you say.

@wakabayashi thsnks for the explanation I would definitely stay away from invoice payment :) aaand 30% drop of sales ... @michael to increase sales and trust you need German registered company, because that is what will customers see at first. And it should be stated on the front page where everybody could clearly see it. Germans even have a word for non natives - "auslander" ... aaaand another 30% drop of sales :) About the VAT, you need to register it according the country where you pay your taxes. In my case I need to register VAT about 25k euro so it would be far away from €100k.

What if the customer takes the product but "forgets" to pay? Are you @Traumflug using invoice payment also? And what payment methods are you guys using?

I do plan to open eshop for the Germany market but I will definitely stay away from invoice payment. I know that my sales will automatically drop by 30% but it is not convenient for me especially with the shipping price I have to pay ... I have read somewhere that there are companies that you use for payment and they will handle all the merchant looses if the customer doesn't pay the invoice. What do you think about it, are their taxes too high?

I read that most common payment method in Germany is invoice payment. Which I personally can't understand how is working. Sofort some kind of direct payment like bank transfer also is preferred payment method. I wonder if modules like payone module by silbersiten covers all those payments and are there any drawbacks using it?

You can't place images only when you use quick reply. Otherwise I think you can. At least I uploaded more than once.

Try to disable that thirty bees configurator module and check if the gear icon on the left is still there. I think it Is completely different thing.

I believe the theme configurator comes with the theme you bought. It is not native thirty bees/ps feature, so it depends on your theme.

I am installing those just for testing purposes but I think it just has incompatibility with thirty bees ... and I didn't tested the module yet because the theme I choose has its native blog module.

I installed at least 5 different themes on thirty bees which were stated to work on ps 1.6.1.x and all worked perfectly. Just those with smart blog as native module got some issues.
