When i type in the direct path into the browser, then the files are been downloaded. Could there be something in the .htaccess which goes wrong (AddFile e.g.)? -

FontAwesome not loading / showing weired signs from global.css
DRMasterChief posted a question in Theme help
Hello, i have a strange thing with FontAwesome - this is not loading since we have moved to an other faster hosting plan. It only shows weired signs in the Frontoffice, e.g. at button cart, contact and so on. Pls. refer to the picture. The 'old' hosting plan was with Apache and MySQL, the new is with nginx and MariaDB on SSD drives. Not sure if this can be a reason? The move was directly with copying all files and import DB via phpMyAdmin. We are not using the standard theme, but when i change the frontend theme to default, the FontAwesome will NOT be loaded either. I have checked path and files again and again and the files are stored correctly, i also have tried various permissions, without any effect. In global.css there is the following call: src: url ("../ fonts / font-awesome / fontawesome-webfont.eot? v = 4.6.3"); src: url ("../ fonts / font-awesome / fontawesome-webfont.eot? # iefix & v = 4.6.3") format ("embedded-opentype"), url ("../ fonts / font-awesome / fontawesome -webfont.woff2? v = 4.6.3 ") format (" woff2 "), url (" ../ fonts / font-awesome / fontawesome-webfont.woff? v = 4.6.3 ") format (" woff ") , url ("../ fonts / font-awesome / fontawesome-webfont.ttf? v = 4.6.3") format ("truetype"), url ("../ fonts / font-awesome / fontawesome-webfont.svg ? v = 4.6.3 # fontawesomeregular ") format (" svg "); and the direct path on server is: /public_html/shop/themes/community-theme-default/fonts/font-awesome So this file is also offered for download when called up in the browser and is therefore found (the other file extensions too): mydomain.xyz/themes/community-theme-default/fonts/font-awesome/fontawesome-webfont.eot mydomain.xyz/themes/community-theme-default/fonts/font-awesome/fontawesome-webfont.woff2 etc. We have deleted or emptied the .htaccess too, but with no success or other result. Do you have any idea or solution?! thank you -
Hello, do you have set the carrier by 'weight'? This problem is shown when weight is out of range or something like that. Also, check your zones for shipping/pick up and also the states of countries!
-
I think some more variable shipping options are a good thing. We are also looking for a combination for 'small lightweight items' with additional 'very heavy items' and shipping costs will increase when such a heavy item is in cart and/or there should be no free shipping then.

Help me develop killer One Page Checkout module
DRMasterChief replied to datakick's topic in Modules
additional: there was a discussion some time ago 'to have a field in BO in each product' for 'essential product features' and merchant can use it or not (also here in this forum). A lot of merchants will prefer such a thing, but there was no reaction from PS and also not from tb. If they will not use it in shopping cart, then maybe for other things. It's just to have an separate field for such details and maybe shop developer should have an ear for these things, then 1. required laws can be covered and 2. this is maybe an additional nice to have other shopsystems dont have... not only for this German regulation. -

We show the 'essential product features' in our actual shopsystem directly below each product in small font size, which looks very ok and useful, nearly all other merchants does the same here in Germany, just for your information. I think, when we can fit the law for 99%, then everything is ok. I think the bad people who are looking for such mistakes only look for absolutely gross mistakes. As soon as you are ok with the law for 99%, you don't want to get involved in a legal dispute, because the result is too uncertain. How can we go on with your solution? Can you make an first demo module only on your own site to see exactly how this can look and work? -

Do you mean some information about the items will be in the order summary block (and also in the cart block)? Can there be also essential product features (e.g. the first 100 characters of short description)? -

Thank you for your answer, glad about this!! I am absolutely with you with UX and design (and the actual design is great in my personal opinion), but this is a thing we can not get rid off.... Upper part is flexible, but then items and then button, thats it. Your idea sounds interesting, just cant imagine exactly how this can look. I think this will also fit the law for 99% which has to be enough 🤩 -

Hi @colorful-ant , great, thank you (i think the translations are no problem and i never has any concerns about translations...). When you will be exactly, your checkout site also did not fit the requirements. Do you think it is possible to move the 'confirmation' part and / or also move the 'cart' with items to an other positon? -
Hi, my experience is that you have to add a 2nd currency first, then adjust everything and maybe add an item. Then you can 'switch off' the 1st currency / do not use it anymore.
-
Hi and welcome! Works in my Chrome, can add the Duke and change qty, too. Maybe you have to clear your cache or something like that? Chrome can be very strange and you have to clear it hard.

DRMasterChief replied to datakick's topic in Modules
Have made the changes in your picture. with this sequence, the module complies with the law (in German, it is called 'Button Lösung' § 312j BGB). The very important point is 5 and 6, 6 has to be directly below 5, and nothing is allowed to be between 5 and 6. -
Help me develop killer One Page Checkout module
DRMasterChief replied to datakick's topic in Modules
Hello, thank you for the react. As written before: Ideally (or better: required by law) there is the following order overview / order summary at the last checkout page: 1. List of shipping and delivery addresses 2. List of suppliers and chosen payment method 3. maybe a message / comment from the customer 4. Terms and Conditions / Right of Withdrawal (better with Checkbox) 5. Product overview with all necessary details and quantity etc. 6. buy now button My question is, if we can change the order of the listing with your module ? I will do this for my own, if you cant do this, but we need some help, i am not a CSS specialist 😞 edit: maybe you can also improve the selling when you have an ear for the customers and requirements, e.g. this 'German thing' with listing and button. A lot of merchants looks for such things when they fit the required law for 99,9% 🙂 -

So you think datakick isnt working on this anymore? The module is a great one and we are very thankful for this (even if we do not use it until know), but small adjustments would be great !! -

Oh thank you for the information, but there is another thing we need here.... (i know, a crazy situation, but necessary since 2012) : Ideally (or better: required by law) there is an order overview / order summary like this: 1. List of shipping and delivery addresses 2. List of suppliers and chosen payment method 3. maybe a message / comment from the customer 4. Terms and Conditions / Right of Withdrawal (better with Checkbox) 5. Product overview with all necessary details and quantity etc. 6. buy now button so for that matter the standard setting in your module is ok, but not for the buy now button. -

DRMasterChief replied to datakick's topic in Modules
Hello Petr, thank you for fast answer! When customer has, lets say 50 items, in the cart (left side in your picture), then this list is very long.... longer than the right part in your picture (with shipping, payment, confirmation and 'pay now' button. And this is the problem, the 'pay now' button has to be lower than the list with all products. Hopefully you can imagine what i mean / what our needs are required by law? Maybe you will put in 20-30 different items in the cart, then you can see. I will try a solution for my own, but unfortunately the test period is over and i have to be sure that there can be a solution before we buy the module. Maybe there is a possibility to slide the right part or to move the button to the left side, or i think you will have any better idea for a fine look, too 🙂 Then you can offer this as an special module for Germany maybe !?
