@tomik am not sure but i could be me :frowning2: Changed creditcards. If it is me than will of course fix this

You will not believe how much money i invested/lost because of badly programmed modules / incompatible modules and theme and buying module in order to get basic functionality that should have been standard in PS. I really hope TB has a future. Otherwise people will learn the hard way.

@wakabayashi Thanks for your reply. I think if merchants can't afford $10 a month as patron, they they have to seriously have to wonder if they even should start a shop. I am a small shop too, but i think it is my obligation to support as patron. Now it is for $ 10 but when i'll make more money i'll support more. I'm not a programmer so this is the least i can do to support and really think other should do also. My second post will be about the Elastic Search project an crowd funding software in general Sorry, just saw I repeated something you said about forgetting e-commerce if you can't afford some money

19 Patrons ?! This is the first one of a two-part post. I thought long and hard about the title and ended up with this title. Before I explain the title I first would like to give some background about myself. I have a store in which I sell board games. Several years ago, and after a long comparison of various e-commerce platforms, I decided to use Prestashop. These last couple of years I invested several thousands of dollars on modules (or updates of modules) and hiring developers. For me, PS lacks essential modules such as a good search/filter module, review module, blog module and some other. I also invested in a theme (Warehouse) I bought the modules from various developers. Due to the fact that often module conflicted with each other and/or with the theme I had to hire developers to solve the problems (I'm a total nitwit in regard to programming). To me, e-commerce platforms must be feature rich (or has the intention to be), actively maintained and bug must be resolved in a timely manner. From what I read on the TB site the maintainers of TB have all these intentions (whether is the actual software by providing high-quality content through blog posts). That's when I decided to switch to TB and hire @mdekker to do the switch for me. What has all of the above to do with the title? From what I read on the forum I think there are a lot of op people that are not satisfied with PS and already switched to TB or have the intention to do so. Thus we all benefit if the maintainers can devote as much as time as possible to maintain and enhance TB. Therefore I find unbelievable that there are only 19 patrons. I think that everybody is using on a 'production' store (or has the intention to do so) should become a patron. Also, developers who provide paid services and based on TB should become a patron. I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT DO CONTRIBUTE BIG TIME TO TB BY SOLVING BUGS/CODING ETC. Hover, I do think that there are a lot more people than 19 that use TB or provide services based on TB AND do not contribute in another way. Therefore I would like to urge these people to become a patron so TB can grow rapidly and become the best e-commerce platform. We will all benefit from it. I would like to end by thanking @mdekker, @lesley and all the others who make TB possible.

@lesley I'm not a lawyer and you are probably right but i find it strange why you can't sell/transfer your rights to use software to someone else.

May Live helper chat is an option. There is also a commercial PS module for it. Haven’t tried it, but i’m considering it.

Hi, I like the navigation to the left. I do have some suggestions: - When i add a product to cart a very small popup will display with the text 'quantity is updated' . I would suggest to change the text in 'your product is added to cart. - In category view (dog/dog-food) i can't add a product directly to cart http://d.pr/i/7PWefS (it looks like it is not available) .in productview i can add product to cart http://d.pr/i/gNtpMc (so it is on stock) - there is an inconsistancy in the category view. Sometime the button 'add to cart' is displayed and sometime not (although the products are in stock Hope this helps

@musicmaster I thought is was just me, but i noticed the same change.

Transformer Theme = How Compatible?

@daokakao The question is if you really would need all this functionaility in a theme. -
Transformer Theme = How Compatible?
vincentdenkspel replied to labeller's topic in Theme Compatibility
@occam "Especially since it might not be that easy to top sophisticated themes like Transformer or Panda". Than you assume the developer of these themes is willing to make them compatible with TB. I've contacted the developer of the transformer theme if he has the intention to make the transformer 4 theme compatible with TB. He said he has not. -
Transformer Theme = How Compatible?
vincentdenkspel replied to labeller's topic in Theme Compatibility
@daokakao As i said. A new module is being developed by means of crowdfunding. This module will be part of the TB project and as such will it be maintained by TB. The same could be the case for a theme. Now TB includes a default theme. I don't use the theme so I don't know it's features. However, I could image the a crowdfunding project is started for a more advanced theme that will be part of TB and as such will be maintained by TB. By crowdfunding they get paid for their work and the community will get a more advanced theme. Once again a win-win situation. -

vincentdenkspel replied to labeller's topic in Theme Compatibility
@daokakao What do you mean by 'your project' ? I'm not the developer. I contacted @mdekker several months ago if it would be possible to do a crowdfunding for a module. At first he/they where reluctant. However, I kept nagging and after a few months he/they agreed to do a crowdfunding project. This is the elastic search module. I just received an e-mail from indiegogo that a beta version will be released within a few days. I'm convinced it will be a high quality module. As mentioned in other forum posts i convinced that crowdfunding could be a win-win-win situation. TB as a project will benefit (great modules will attract new users), the developer will earn money for his work and we as users will get great modules that we want (otherwise it would not be funded) If you want other info please let me know. -
Transformer Theme = How Compatible?

@alwayspaws Although English is not my native language i often do understand sarcasm. However 'nice try' has a negative 'sound' to me. Maybe this was not meant. That's way i asked to clarify the comment. "Of course, we all have great hopes" . Do you refer to my comment of crowdfunding a theme ? If so, than please take into account that when six months ago I first mentioned crowdfunding a module not many people believed that it could be done . And look where we are now: within a few days a Beta of a great crowdfunded search module will be released ! -

Thirtybees / Modules / Themes
vincentdenkspel replied to Kleijn36's topic in Nederlandstalig Forum - Algemeen
@pedalman It's not a matter of luck, but of hiring a good developer :)
-
@pedalman Sorry i can't. @mdekker did the change from PS to TB for me. I'm a nitwit when it comes to code. Sorry! Only thing i know it that me site is using the warehouse theme

From your post it looks like @lesley contributed important code. Thank you @lesley

Problems when creating pack of existing products
vincentdenkspel replied to vincentdenkspel's question in Bug Reports
thanks for your swift reply. -
Hoi, When creating a pack of existing problems i encounter a problem. I very little popup screen appears and i think this where is should enter the letters of the products i would like to select. However, it is so small it is not workable. I'm the only one who encounter this problem or is it a bug, I've made a short screencast to show the problem. It can be found here https://d.pr/v/jqXZTP Thanks.
-
@dynambee Thank you. However it is a crowdfunding project and the i think the amount someone contributes to this project does not matter. All contributions are equally welcome. I only really hope that voted for this module on the blogpost will indeed contribute.

@DavidP thank you for your suggestions. Very informative.
