  1. If one has a shop selling widgets and fidgets under the domain shop.com, does it make sense from a SEO perspective to have either Domains widgets.com and fidgets.com that redirect to shop.com? or Domains widgets.com and fidgets.com with their own tb multi-shop only displaying these products/categories?
  2. @nickon You could download eg https://www.heidisql.com to check for the tables. What system is it?
  3. @zimmer-media said in PayPal v6 .... problem ?: It seems to be related to the AEUC module and the "Advanced checkout page" option. That could be. I don't have it active and if I remember correctly, I had to turn it off because it caused some problems.
  4. @zimmer-media I checked whether it shows up in my shop and it does. I haven't had any problems with v6. I guess you've tried completely removing the module and re-installing it?

    1.0.4 soon?

  6. No, I double checked. See also up above my description.

I don't know if you're trying to say that doesn't count, but fact is that there are lots of cookie fines out there directed to private companies: http://privacylawblog.fieldfisher.com/2014/history-in-the-making-the-first-cookie-rule-fines-in-europe/ https://techcrunch.com/2017/09/11/facebook-fined-e1-2m-for-privacy-violations-in-spain/
  8. A p.s.: The order from customer B was paid by credit card (Stripe module) and went to the status "paid" and then automatically to "on backorder (paid)".

@drmasterchief That's because it's neither based on the GDPR nor on the old Data Protection Directive, but on the ePrivacy Directive. Also, one needs to differentiate between cookies that are necessary to perform a service explicitly requested by the user (no consent required) and cookies not necessary (consent required). Furthermore, already back in 2014, the Dutch issued a fine of 25,000 EUR for a failure to solicit a cookie consent: https://www.cookielaw.org/blog/2014/12/19/dutch-cookie-law-fine-is-largest-so-far/
  10. I have a product with attributes. I've noticed that sometimes I get negative stock, even though orders should be denied if there isn't enough stock. The setting in the Preferences>Products page is "Deny order" and the Product>Quantities setting is "Default> Deny orders as set in the Products Preferences page". I've now been able to reproduce the issue. Customer A places item with combination Y in shopping cart. Customer B places item with combination Y in shopping cart. Total of items with combination Y placed in shopping cart by Customers A and B exceeds amount in stock. Customer A checks out. Customer B checks out. Stock is now negative and both customers successfully placed their orders.
  11. I just saw that this is already possible under Preferences>Products>Force update of friendly URL :)
  12. Hi @nemo, I discovered your nice OpenGraph module http://store.nemops.com/free-modules/31-facebook-open-graph-module-free.html and we're using it in our store. It works perfectly for Facebook. Photos are shown properly and metas are used. Twitter picks up the metas, but it only shows photos in small. Is the Twitter issue something you can easily troubleshoot?
  13. This is a follow-up issue: https://forum.thirtybees.com/topic/1512/suggestion-friendly-urls-should-not-automatically-update-after-title-edit
  14. Currently, friendly URLs automatically update when a product oder category title is edited. I think this can easily causes problems when coupled with the lack of a redirect, as discussed here: https://forum.thirtybees.com/topic/1490/suggestion-editing-seo-friendly-url-automatically-creates-a-permanent-redirect/11
  15. @datakick said in Suggestion: Editing SEO>Friendly URL automatically creates a permanent redirect: @lesley I think we are talking about two different things. I believe you are talking about changing schema or urls / routes under Preferences > SEO & URLs. I'm talking about changing link_rewrite on product page. I'm not sure which problem @30knees originally talked about.... I am talking about your use case, @datakick. I edit the friendly URL on the product page.
  16. This is a great idea! Two suggestions to encourage customers to visit the shop and spend the points: Expiry period for the points, eg 6 months, etc. Email reminder to users eg 2 weeks before the points expire.
  17. Also, the reviews are not excluded from Google despite having initials.
  18. Hi, A suggestion to improve tb: Editing SEO>Friendly URL should automatically create a permanent redirect from the old URL to the new URL.
  19. I used the back office translation tool to edit email translations for the active theme. The theme I use didn't have any emails for that language on the server yet. It was relying on the core email templates. After editing for that language, a folder with empty email templates was created in the theme's mail alerts folder. Shouldn't the core email templates be copied to the theme subfolder when using the back office translation tool so the new templates created for that theme aren't empty?
  20. I think perhaps not. Thanks! Btw, my old shop system had a PHP info page built in. That would be nice for tb.
  21. Panda got kicked from Envato for stupid reasons: https://www.sunnytoo.com/9135/selling-transformer-panda-themes-on-sunnytoo I'm happy with the Panda theme, but the community theme has the advantage of always being supported.
  22. Here's a good summary of the GDPR: https://www.twobirds.com/~/media/pdfs/gdpr-pdfs/bird--bird--guide-to-the-general-data-protection-regulation.pdf?la=en
  23. I'm issuing a partial refund to a customer. The system is asking me to enter the quantity returned. I don't think this should be mandatory. For example, goods might get damaged during shipping but the customer still wants to keep them in exchange for a discount.
  24. @lesley said in Anonymize IP active in Google Analytics module?: Interesting. Piwik generally can hold more information than the shop itself. We set it up so we can see all the products a customer views by name, all purchases they make by products, ect. The right to portability doesn't give the individual the right to be able to take all personal data about her in a common, machine readable format. However, any personal data collected under Piwik would need to be provided under the right of access, eg as a PDF. That's why it's generally less burdensome to not tie such information to an identified individual but to a non-identified/identifiable individual.
