datakick Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 @Manisch / @nickon - what is the percentage of customers who subscribe to newsletter / optin? I don't think it will be substantial. Does it make sense to somehow nudge customers to give consent specifically to send review request? I was thinking about some popup window that would appear after the customer completed the order (and only if he didn't opt-in for newsletter already). Here we could explain the benefits of providing review, ie say that he will receive discount coupon, and ask for the consent for sending review request by email. All without disrupting order process
Pedalman Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 In the past I used HTMLbox Pro in order to hook into order-confirmation and payment-confirmation.tpl. I only used HTML code. Anyway, I like Datakick's idea and it would certainly catch all payment options after oder completion.
nickon Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 I was really hopping that @mdekker or @SnowyCat could update us about the status of the gdpr module
BlindPenguin Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 @snowycat said in New General Data Protection Regulation 2018-05-25: will be overflowing the whole forum with "hooray the GDPR module is done!" posts. Probably very happily. :D
Leo_Parker Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 General Data Protection Regulation- GDPR is basically for offering better data security and safety to the online customers. Now it is mandatory for all the online business owners to comply with this GDPR for sake of data protection. GDPR is a new data protection method which gives full control to the customers over their personal details. GDPR allows the customers to: 1.The right to be informed 2.The right of access 3.The right to rectification 4.The right to erasure 5.The right to restrict processing 6.The right to data portability 7.The right to object 8.Rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling. GDPR compliance is compulsory for the e-merchants. There are several ways by which the eCommerce store admin can easily comply with the GDPR. If you are a Prestashop store owner and want to meet all the GDPR requirements, then you can go for this Prestashop addon: https://addons.prestashop.com/en/legal/32019-knowband-gdpr-rights-of-individuals.html By using this addon you can display an interface on the website for allowing the customers to access their GDPR rights easily.
Manisch Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 Just wanted to check...is this module still a thing? Did I miss something? :D
toplakd Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 I think it will be ready in day or two. So be prepared to install.
MockoB Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 @toplakd where your confidence comes from? Do you know something that the rest of community doesn't? It would be nice to share your observations concerning the current state of the module, since there is no one else related to it, who wants to share any news...
toplakd Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 I'm saying that from May 23rd. ? And eventualy one day it will be the day before relase. So we all keep waiting for that day to see how will module look like. I only need automatic export of customer data, but i can do that manualy if someone decides for it.
Manisch Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 I'm not sure if I missed something about this module elsewhere, but can you please give me an honest statement about it's current state? If you canceled the work on this module, just say so...
lesley Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 It must have been in another thread about this module that I stated what happened. We paid a developer in the community to make the module, he took the money and did not deliver a working module.
Manisch Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 I'm sorry to hear that - that sucks :/ Is there any Plan B? Or can you give me the link to the other thread? Others probably have asked the same question (:
lesley Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 Its honestly something we need to discuss internally.
nickon Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 @lesley maybe discuss it publicly. What is missing on that module, what needs to be done, maybe someone can pickup the development
musicmaster Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 I would love to see this "module" released from its composer encapsulation so that it becomes easier to see how much of the job is done and what still needs attention.
